This was my first time ever sitting at a hibachi table. It was a blast!! Very talented chefs who really make everyone feel special!! Wait time may be long, even with Reservations but I must say its absolutely worth it!!! I can’t wait to return.

We have been several times to Shinto and have always had a great experience! The hibachi is the highlight for our family and the portions are quite large and delicious. The entertainment is amazing! Everyone is friendly and I never have to ask for a refill of my water. Highly recommend this place!

Really wonderful hibachi experience. The vegetarian option was great. Best of all was the customer service – Blake is an incredible server. So friendly and attentive. He made my mom feel very special on her birthday.

I absolutely loved this place. I had been to the Hibachi place on Strongsville before but this one was much better. The fried rice was soo good. The cocktail drink I had was really good and filled to the rim. The chef was awesome! The pork dumpling appetizer was soo good. My husband and kids got sushi and the presentation with the smoke coming from the dish was so visually appealing. My dinner was delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. It was such a wonderful experience. I’d like to make it a monthly thing.

We had a large group for a birthday dinner celebration of 20! They were very accommodating and service was great. Our chefs were fun, because who doesn’t love the show during the Habachi experience!!! The food was excellent from the salad until the end. We all left full and even doggy bags.

Food was hot off the grill, one portion at a time starting with sushi, next course salads, next course rice, shortly thereafter grilled shrimp course, next course veggies, then the grand finale salmon. (Well done). The entertainment for the kids was great. I’m definitely more of a table diner where everything is presented at one time. It’s mostly entertainment with a meal. Something to try once.

Very busy and very loud. Usually. Food is good if you like that sort of thing. Service on this trip wasn’t that great but it wasn’t horrible.

Had reservation for 4:30 on a Saturday, 8 of us celebrating a birthday. Waiting area was cramped and constantly asked if we could move. Once seated, we had great service, but were not impressed with the cook who was disengaged. Food was good, not great. Our server was very pleasant but again, not that attentive. In addition to the 20% gratuiity added to bill, I left additional tip. We were asked to leave shortly after paying bill which I thought was rude and unnecessary. They need to give a big group some time, but felt very rushed. I regretted giving an additional tip after being asked to leave.

First off, if you make a reservation for 6 PM and aren’t seated until an hour and a half later, that’s completely unacceptable. Reservations exist for a reason. On a Sunday night, most people don’t want to still be waiting around close to 10 PM.

When we were finally seated, we were packed in so tightly just to make room for more tables on the other side. At $30–$50 per person, that level of discomfort is frustrating. The ventilation was practically nonexistent it was so smoky you could barely breathe, and it quickly turned into a full sinus headache.

Our server was also a disappointment. With an automatic 20% gratuity added for our party of 8, you would expect attentive service. Instead, she was inattentive, forgot to refill sodas, and lacked professionalism. A little effort and friendliness would have gone a long way but she knew the tip was already coming!

On top of that, they charge extra for noodles and rice, yet somehow forgot the steamed rice that’s supposed to come with the meals. The portion sizes were underwhelming for the price as well.

Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. If you’re looking for more space, larger portions, better service, and more reasonable pricing, I’d recommend Samurai In Strongsville instead.
I will say, however, that the bartenders at Shinto were friendly and attentive they were the one bright spot of the evening.

Eddie and Blake, the dynamic duo.

What an amazing dinner we had, I was here on business, but they made it pleasure.

Honestly, we had a blast. We had endless laughs. We left with prizes and a phenomenal meal. Eddie was the best chef And Blake served us with a smile. Our drinks were full, and our stomachs were happy.

If you haven’t visited Shinto in Westlake yet, make sure you do and ask for Eddie and Blake.

PS John is the best manager.
