Nice place with a chill crowd and good beer. I went on a Monday around 4 and they had BOGO beer. It was a great deal and a relaxing environment.

Loved this spot – a pub in the middle of Reno with BOGO beer specials, a clever British bartender, soccer on the telly, Smithwick’s on tap, and a most excellent selection of Scotch whiskey and bourbon behind the bar.

Oh, and this “American dog” (per the bartender) seen in the photo!

Stumbled upon this place at the end of our night in Reno and had the best time! The drinks were incredible, our group had a blast playing chess and jenga, but most of all, the bartender was such a wonderful person and really made our night!

Awesome drinks, great trivia, and solid atmosphere. If you find yourself in downtown Reno, don’t miss this spot. I couldn’t resist sampling some cocktails along with their craft beer selection

I love this place for multiple reasons. First off, the vibe and decor is great. Secondly, the drink selection is quite good – try the Sunset Sour, Bramble or Bully for You. Lastly, they have beers on tap that I don’t see at most places, one of which is quite possibly my favorite beer ever, the Kilkenny cream ale. They also have several comfortable booths for seating, as well as a stage for when they have bands/performers and lots of games at each booth too, if you want to play dominoes or cards with friends while you enjoy your beverages. I’ll be coming here regularly from now on.

Great cocktail list in a cool hidden gem. Bartender was like a character out of a past time that made you feel like you were part of something different and fun. From the music play list to the separate cozy seating this was a pleasant and just welcomed surprise on our weekend in Reno

Cute place with a cool vibe. There was live music which was bit loud and made it hard to hear. Other than that, I loved my time here. The drinks were good. I will be back but I’m not sure if this will be a regular place for me. It’s more of a place to take friends who are visiting or maybe if there was an event there it could be fun.

This is a cool little place tucked just outside the exit of the El Dorado parking garage. Came here for a kitty burlesque show (fundraiser for the local cat cafe) which was entertaining. Drinks were decent and priced well, the bartender was efficient but didn’t have much personality.

My friends and I had some time to kill before going to see Bill Burr live and we found Shims. The place has a cool anesthetic, great bartender, and a stage for performances. Try the mystery shots!

Shims is one of my favorite bars. I missed the speakeasy but apparently too many Reno residents couldn’t grasp the concept. Now that it’s a “tavern” you can go in the front yard. The specialty cocktails are still fantastic. Nick is still my favorite bartender. Their house well whiskey is better than anywhere else. And they do a TON of events from DJ Trivia to poetry nights to live music and more. Just go. And telll Nick that Vickie sent you.
