Relative to price, location, service, and food, it’s a decent place for road trip road side quick lunch. It’s a family operation from what I could see. It’s a busy place around lunch time. I had soup noodles and the soup carries a strong pork essence that’s unusual from typical USDA pork. The BBQ beef stick was probably one thing I could recommend. Staying with dry food here is probably best. The sandwiches looked good. Wonton is a no.

We always visit Shige’s when we swing through town. Even though there’s usually a line outside, it moves quickly and the food is well worth it. We order the saimin, but the skewers are lovely too. The small is a good size portion, but it’s so delicious I always regret not getting the large! Super friendly folks, handmade noodles, just try!

This is the best Saimin ever!!! Noodles are bouncy and chewy – made fresh every morning. Broth has a lot of depth and it all goes so well with hot mustard and a cheeseburger. And the service is super friendly and kind. They offer lots of things on the menu, so I will be back for more!

Love Shige’s! Been going there for years. Best fried saimin in town. Fresh homemade noodles that can’t be beat.

The Best Saimin in Oahu. Their Teriyaki Burgers were incredible. Go here if you want to eat where the locals eat. Affordable and super friendly.

Two times here, both times have been a great experience. The teriyaki beef plate lunch is delicious, double cheeseburger is tasty, and the noodle soups are large and flavorful. Definitely not upscale, which is great because there’s plenty of other options downtown to pay for atmosphere. What really shines here is the friendly service! Both times, the servers have been helpful and smiley Great service is getting harder and harder to find, so this makes Shige’s Saimin an excellent choice for a relaxing meal!

Not the best food I’ve had in a few years. Purchased loco moco, Wong ton soups, and other plates.
