Food and service are amazing! Hands down the best sushi in town. SO many options, but the Dragon Roll is my favorite. Shige is a wonderful man and always sings Happy Birthday to our Mamasan.

One of the best salmon nigiri sushi places we’ve tried so far. Service was great too!
We didn’t get to eat outside, but that’s an option overlooking the street below. Maybe next time.

Went here & loved it. Sushi was perfect, took a while but completely worth it. Enjoy the pictures! Highly recommend.

Best sushi place in Boise. We always sit at the sushi bar and order sushi or sashimi with fish or other seafood right in front of us. Occasionally the’ll have fresh uni (sea urchin), which is sooo delightful. I wish they can offer a few simple izakaya items, but I understand it is a sushi place.

Great place. Sushi is tasty. A nice old school sushi place. The rolls aren’t drowned in sauce. There is a great variety of rolls and other items also. And…. The beer is ice cold. Very nice. Good location downtown also.

I’ve always had awesome service here except one time when the service was horrible. That was a little weird but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a fluke for now.

This place is the best place to take someone who has never tried sushi, because they can try all kinds of rolls by the piece without racking up a huge bill.

The sushi is good, the bill is cheap, the staff are fun, the setting is so cute. I love it.

My roommate and I are frequent visitors to the Shige Restaurant. The sushi is ALWAYS good. The chefs are kind and respectful. Typically the service is on point. However, our last experience with our waitress Deborah was TERRIBLE. The worst service we have ever had. Our orders were wrong, the checks were wrong and we waited over an hour to get our food. While we waited, we saw two couples leave because the waitress hadn’t taken their order after waiting 45 minutes. One table didn’t even have their drinks. My roommate was charged extra for something she didn’t ask for, and we ended up having to change the bill 3x because it was incorrect. When asked for our salads to come out first, the waitress mumbled sarcastically that they will come out with our food. My salad didn’t end up coming out to the table until I was nearly done with the entree. I would recommend this restaurant as the chefs and food are spectacular. Our regular waitress is the best, this waitress ruined the experience and lost Shige a LOT of service.

The worst experience dining in Boise. We entered the first two dinners last evening. Only 3 different samples on the boats. We took all three. 3 there customers came in and sat down as we waited for more to come. The waitress brought more which was a scooped up by the new customers. We waited longer as more came out but the waitress sat down the tray next to the new customers who took all the new rolls right from the tray leaving the same old rolls on all boats. We waited more than 20 minutes for more but gave up with 3 three plates while the others grabbed as big stack of at least 20. No interactions with the wait staff the entire time. Thanks for the $3.18 no tip meal. Stay away! Sushi is nowhere close to good. Go to Wasbi Sushi on Apple best in Boise.
