The Cooksburg Café is located on River Road in the heart of Cook Forest State Park. We specialize in hand-dipped ice cream treats, milk shakes and banana splits made from premium Hershey’s Ice Cream. Our grill serves up great Angus burgers, hot dogs, chicken wraps, salads, fresh-cut fries and other tasty treats. Kitchen closes 1 hour prior to close. Enjoy free Pale Whale WiFi as you enjoy. Plenty of covered and open picnic seating, so come enjoy the views of Cook Forest and scenic Clarion River. All food is made to order. Take out available by calling 814-744-8601! Open April to November, we’re located just ¼ of a mile up River Road from the Clarion River Bridge next to the Pale Whale Canoe Rental & Cooksburg Dry Goods Gift Shoppe!

The lights above the picnic tables, I can only imagine how charming and romantic it is at night.
I am not an ice cream fan, but the Better Than Brownie ice cream would have me coming back. The hot dog was that camp hot dog. So basic, but oh, so good.

Very nice place to eat great food at a good price, with a view of the water. It can be busy, and at times, there is a wait. A decent amount of parking and an easy to find. Staff are always nice.

Cooksburg Cafe is a conveniently located place to grab a quick lunch while enjoying the river and the great PA outdoors. They have hamburgers, wraps , sandwiches and other lunchtime favorites. They also serve a large selection of Hershey Ice-cream. There is ample seating – covered and under the trees – to enjoy your food. The staff is friendly and service is fast. I highly recommend Cooksburg Cafe.

Absolutely have to stop here when you’re at Cook Forest. Amazing ice cream! We’ve been going to Cook Forest every summer for the past 15 years, and we go every night for ice cream when we’re there. I highly recommend the Cappucino Crunch and Deep Dish Apple! The fries are also amazing! Plenty of seating outside either under the roof or under the stars. One of my favorite places!

French fries were ice cold and from the bottom of the bag. Was charged separate for burger, fries and drink instead of the combo. Paid $50 for all the food. Wasn’t worth it. Will not go there again. I think the Cafe needs more qualified employees.

This is a take out place. They serve funnel cake fries!! the food was good, atmosphere was great at the clarion river, they have picnic tables, you can watch people tubeing or canoeing.

Ordered 2 chili dogs. Where to start. Stale buns that both split apart. They put cold refried beans on instead of chili. The onions were long onion slivers instead of chopped onions. Everything was cold except the actual dog which was warm . It’s almost like they have never seen what a chili dog is supposed to look like. Loaded fries were a 5 out of 10. The actual fries were good. Everything else agai was cold
