We visited Shi Sushi a couple of years ago shortly after they opened and were underwhelmed, but were pleasantly surprised when we decided to return a few weeks ago! The service was friendly and efficient, and we very much enjoyed the food.
We started with the calamari for an appetizer, it was delicious but a little overly greasy. Their cocktail sauce was zesty and spot on.
My husband ordered the Rainbow Roll and the Vegas Roll. I tried the Vegas and definitely would order it next time! It was fantastic! And he enjoyed the Rainbow roll, one of his classic favorites which he always likes to try at new sushi places.
I ordered the grilled salmon with stir fried veggies and yakisoba noodles. Everything was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
We also shared a large cocktail which was sweet, delicious, and a little rummy.
Will return! Very happy with our decision to give it another shot.

Food was excellent! We enjoyed the vegetable tempera as an appetizer, which tasted wonderful. The firecracker sushi roll was delicious, this coming from a person with a very limited seafood liking and the veggie sushi roll was amazing with so much flavor. The customer service was good, but wasn’t great due to the host forgetting us after clearing a table for us. I wasn’t impressed with the waitress that washed a tabletop but never moved the happy hour menu or candle to wipe the table fully. This concerned me, but not enough to disgust me, just made me glad I was not sat in her section. Our waitress, was great at ensuring we had everything we needed and followed up on the service, but not over bearing with interruptions. The atmosphere was great, as we could have a conversation without straining to hear each other and we couldn’t really over hear other customers conversations. All in all, we had an excellent date night diner.

It was our first time there. We sat in the bar area. The menu was full of great choices at reasonable prices. Our appetizer was Jalapeño Crab Poppers, it was so good!
I had a Mai Tai with my Tempura roll. My friend had a Blue Moon with a Killer Shrimp roll.
Nice atmosphere and pleasant server and bartender. We will definitely return.

This place has a great atmosphere. The sushi was good and tasted fresh. There’s a bar in the back with a more casual feel. The bathrooms were very clean and nicely decorated. This would be a great place to bring a date. My only complaints are the service was a bit slow. We were one group out of only few at the time of our visit and it took about 30 minutes to get 4 rolls. I think they had some new staff that was slowing things up a bit. I hope they improve and I hope to be back.

It really pains me to say this since this was my favorite sushi place, but we will not be going back. We ordered to go and it looked great minus all this new lime green sauce all over everything, the quality was horrible. The rolls had soggy cucumber that looked like boogers, the tuna was so cooked it tasted like canned tuna. The lime green sauce was so off-putting in taste and we attempted to call and ask to bring it back but no one answered the phone. Such a waste to throw away 100 in sushi. Will not be coming back, the quality has gone down big time and unfortunately no refund.

The food at Sushi & Spirits is delicious!!!! Definitely try the pear martini. My daughter favorite was the rock n roll, we had to order and second one. The fire cracker was nice and spicy, but a bit to saucy. The service was spot on!! I’m so glad the dining room is open again, we’ll be back!

We live in Nampa and we have tried multiple places in Boise for sushi, Meridian for sushi and we still prefer this location over any of them! We always sit at the bar and we have never had a bad experience there even when they are busy.

I have tried out a couple different Sushi places around town and this is by far my favorite. Its little more expensive than some of the other options (but still fairly middle ground) and the taste and quality is great + presentation is beautiful.
The restaurant is clean with a nice atmosphere and the staff have all been very friendly and helpful each time we have gone.
lots of options to choose from, both raw and cooked. so if you or a friend are a little shy about starting with the raw stuff this is a great place to start. (also they have some of the best fried calamari i’ve had in a long time.)
Its become me and my mom’s favorite spot and we try to go at least once a month. I highly recommend the Citrus shrimp roll and the Cocomo roll! 🙂

I really want to love this place, but it’s so hit or miss. In the past we’ve had great food, but we’ve also been served incorrect food or the food is served with a lot more/less sauce, different ingredients than other times to the point it doesn’t taste similar. This evening the lemonade tasted like straight lemon juice and flavor syrup, we added water to our drinks multiple times until we could drink it. The bun on my chicken sandwich was burnt (sorry I don’t have a better pic). My daughter enjoyed her bento box and my husband said his roll was okay. We will wait a while before giving it another try.

What a treat! The atmosphere is stunning and the sushi is fantastic and accompanies such stunning presentation. The service deserves high kudos. My daughter and I both have found it the perfect place to meet for a monthly lunch get together. Simply amazing.
