First and foremost Sherry’s Kitchen is within Zio Fraedo’s Restaurant. Sherry offers breakfast and Zio Fraedo offers Italian dishes for lunch and dinner. The restaurant definitely has Italian vibes.

So at this visit we came for breakfast. And me and my friends decided we would each share our food. One ordered Loco Moco (which I was kinda hesitant to order), another ordered the All American Croissant French Toast and Chorizo with eggs.

I’m really glad we ordered the Loco Moco because it was tasted amazing especially the gravy with added onions and mushrooms. I wanna say it’s one of the best Loco Moco’s I’ve tasted thus far.

Our servers were friendly. They provided great service with a smile.

Cons: it’s a little confusing to locate Sherry’s Kitchen because it is inside Zio Fraedo’s restaurant. And there is no side to lead you inside. The only way we knew is by reading reviews. But overall experience is 4/5. I wouldn’t mind coming back to try other dishes in the menu.

Pros: good food, great service, and plenty of parking.

First time at Sherry’s Kitchen and we’re already fans.

We ordered the loco moco with extra gravy, a side of corned beef hash (made from scratch—not from a can!), California eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast. Every bite was spot-on. The coffee cake for dessert sealed the deal—warm, nostalgic, and just sweet enough.

The restaurant has a classic, old-school feel that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff were all genuinely kind and attentive, adding to the welcoming vibe.

If you’re craving comfort food with heart, this place is worth the stop.

Sometimes you find nostalgia in the most unusual places. Walk into Sherry’s Kitchen, a small restaurant in the corner of a big event space (Zio Fraedo’s), and you’ll find mismatched mugs and good ole home cooking. You walk in and all of a sudden, it transforms into grandma’s kitchen…if only for a few familiar minutes. The aroma of mouthwatering food permeates the room. The faces are friendly-servers greet you like an old friend-or even family. There’s no formality—Come! Sit wherever you like! Can I get you some coffee?
The food here can only be described as comfort food for the soul. Delicious? Yes. But also something more…it’s like a familiar hug from a grandma, or a “pick me up” meal from your favorite Tita. The vibe here is comfortable, inviting, and asks you to stay for a while. I highly recommend this gem of a neighborhood restaurant to anyone looking for good food and a quiet, comfortable place to dine.

Coffee was excellent! It’s hard to find good decaf, and this was superb. Wife’s regular coffee was good too, she said.

Staff was very friendly and breakfast was awesome. If I lived near here I would DEFINITELY come back here. Without a doubt!

Oh! The plates and coffee mugs are pretty eclectic. I thought it was a cool touch.

Nice cozy little hidden gem in Pleasant Hill that serves breakfast/brunch. Super friendly staff &
delicious breakfast in a beautiful setting both indoors & outside in the patio. Located inside the iconic Zio Fraedo’s.

Food was good in taste, and temperature. Average quantity for the expensive price.. over $20 with tax, for an omelette with hash browns and toast.. It’s probably perfect for the nearby, affluent senior population..

Brought my mom to brunch here today though she treated. A very cute little place. We lived in the area over a decade ago at this point but I don’t know how long this place has been here. The service was good, very nice staff. My mom ordered the Cali E.B. I got a breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs and sausage. We both got sides of country potatoes. Mom got a coffee, I got an orange juice. She really enjoyed her eggs Benedict. My breakfast sandwich was so good. I was super full and still managed to finish the entire thing. I feel like I could have this as my go to food. Would definitely come back here with my husband and son or friends. Prices are okay, not super outrageous or anything. For everything we ordered, it was about $37 before tip.

Service was great, very friendly staff. The outdoor area is also great. Unfortunately, the food was not good. Average at best.

We had such an amazing first experience on Christmas Eve with Sheila as our server. She is an absolute sweetheart! We even came back the very next week and were still impressed. The food and coffee here is very above average. Love that the corned beef hash includes decent sized chunks of corned beef and that the country fried steak isn’t greasy or massive. Also love that tater tots are always a side option. Everything about Sherry’s feels earnestly simple and homemade. And the service is outstanding no matter who your server is. Glad to have found another great go-to breakfast spot in the East Bay!

This place just opened up so once they are into the swing of things my review may change.
Sherry’s has a great hometown feel to it, with warm country decor and a penchant for copper pans.
The servers are nice, albeit sometimes overexcited, and the food is quite tasty. I got to try two of their eggs benedicts (my go-to for restaurant quality) and they were very well done. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise was good; with a nice tang. The ‘hashbrowns’ were somewhat bizarre. More like ribbons than shredded. Unfortunately, the food was only warm instead of hot and one of our dishes had to be replaced.
All in all, it was acceptable, and I will be curious to come back for a second look when the staff have settled into stride.
