Feb 24 ’26. This was our first and last visit
The people were friendly an asked for our order quickly. The catfish was cooked to order and hot. However, qe got the whole catfish. On each plate “3 fish” 2 of the 3 on each plate were very small. And the meat was barely 1/4″ thick and perhaps 1 bite per side. I’m not joking, beinga fisherman. I have never kept catfish that size. Each plate had 1 fish that would best be described as medium / small. About 3 bites per side. So that’s 10 bites per plate. The sweet potato fries were good and an average portion size. My other side turnip greens were standard caned and no peppwr sauce to help them out. My wifes other side was side salad, small lettuce and tomato dices only, bottled dressing. We were not checked on once during our meal. Our waitress did ask “how was it after she brought the check. When i told her the fish were cooked well but pittifully small she went to the back, came back and offered another fish each. But we declined. As it took 15 minutes or so to get the first order and we didn’t have time. The other waitress told me that was normal size for whole fish. If I wete you I’d skip Sherry’s Kitchen. At least for catfish. And in case you are thinking, well the price probably reflects the portion. Nope $16.95 per plate. I left $40.

Very friendly service, decently priced, food quality was great. Omelette was fluffy and the biscuits and gravy were delicious. Kids breakfast was a decent size portion. Sausage Pattie’s were very good and eggs were fluffy. Texas toast or biscuits.

This is an ole’ country style restaurant inside and out, even the food, good country cookin’ and home cooked feel! The owners are very accommodating and warm people. I have been to this place 4 times. The first time was a little bit awkward since i am asian and this place is way out in the country where everybody knows everybody and i got the occasional stare from the locals but then they are good people and i didn’t mind and all else was fine.
I am a fan of Mississippi catfish and my job enables me to be all over the state and i always try to eat where the locals eat and i always try the town’s fish place. Although this is not the best one one i tried, i would say this is among the top 10! I rate my fish in taste, manner it was fried, color, greasiness and after taste. Sherry’s catfish, bone in or fillet is really good. You order all you can eat and they keep that golden fried catfish coming until you will be stuffed to your throat. All these goodness plus the small town feel of their store makes some really good eating, a welcome break from the hassle and bustle of the city.

This place is like the definition of southern hospitality. It’s very small and quaint. Our server Rose was the sweetest lady. So kind, patient, and friendly. The fried catfish and sweet potato fries were delicious. The fried pickles were tangy and crisp. The drinks are in cans and glass bottles, but the tea is sweet. I would highly recommend if you love crunchy catfish and southern charm!

Very friendly service and delicious whole catfish. Worth the trip and they were open for lunch on Tuesday. Not easy to find a catfish restaurant open before Thursday or Friday of the week. Thank you Sherry. Peace, Love and Catfish forever!
