This was the worst and the most disappointing experience we’ve ever had. Our reservation was at 8:00 pm on a Valentine’s Day and we weren’t seated for over an HOUR. We needed to stand in the hallway waiting to be seated. What’s the point of having a reservation at this point. Everything took so long to come out and we didn’t leave until around 10:20 pm. Unfortunately, when our food did come, it was a little cold and poor flavor. If I knew it was going to taste like this, I would’ve stayed home and cooked it myself. We were also seated in an CHEAP event room outside of the restaurant that didn’t reflect the FINE DINING atmosphere like we expected from the photos that we saw on your promoting website. It felt thrown together and resembled a church or wedding event. It didn’t feel special at all compared to what we paid for $160 and I wouldn’t consider folding tables and chairs in a carpeted room fine dining. Given the price and the occasion, we were hoping for a more memorable experience. This was our first impression that we drove 40 minutes to get here, to received this disappointing view and services. We couldn’t wait to leave and would never come back to this place ever again. P.S. I don’t want any apologizes, but please read people reviews and do better next time. I’d greatly appreciate it.

Loved the food and the service could not have been better. Lyndsey offered wonderful suggestions and we felt completely spoiled by all of the staff that attended us. The croquettes were the perfect start. I could have just had those for dinner and been happy. I ordered the Prime Rib Raviolo and it was delicious, but my husband ordered the French Onion Burger and it was perfection! I was so in love I gave that burger looks I usually save for my husband. To quote my friend, “I have never seen you look hotter than when you were eating that burger”. True love is trading your food with your wife when you have the better entree. My friend enjoyed her Grouper with Mango salsa and coconut rice. The bite I had of the fish was lovely. The shining star of dessert was the Key Lime Pie. It was the best I ever tasted. The creme brulee was good but not extraordinary. The cookie with ice cream and salted caramel was really good but slightly overbaked for my personal taste. Overall it was a lovely experience and we will be back. 4 drinks, 2 entrees and a dessert were $114. We had no trouble being seated on a Wednesday evening but I would recommend reservations if going during more popular times.

The venue and restaurant decor and aesthetics are absolutely gorgeous. It’s sparkly and new. Could be a lovely place to host a large family gathering or corporate event. The banquet ballroom were stunning and could accommodate large parties. There is plenty of parking and venue is nestled in a country setting. They had a very large selection of liquor and some wine but not a huge offering. The staff was super kind, friendly and efficient. The only criticism I had was the restaurant had a very small and limited menu. I am allergic to seafood and shellfish so there were many entrees and appetizers that I could not eat. My meal of spaghetti bolognese was pretty good but not great. Prices were good and affordable for many. We might stop by to have an appetizer and cocktail and sit at the small bar. There are limited seats available.

We enjoyed eating at Horse Feathers many times, but Valentine’s Day was a big disappointment. We made reservations almost a month in advance.

After a short wait, the host escorted us to the banquet hall instead of the restaurant with folding tables and table cloths. We asked to wait until seats were available in the restaurant.

When we were given the menu, some of our favorite items were eliminated for Valentine’s Day with only much higher priced items in their place. We placed appetizer orders and when they arrived over 30 minutes later, we placed our dinner order, waited another 1.5 hours with drinks when we were offered the dessert menu, but we still had not received our dinner orders.

The food was good, but the experience was poor for a $220 dinner for three. We’ve really enjoyed the restaurant in the past, but this experience was disappointing.

I was disappointed with our Valentine’s Day experience. Our reservation was at 7:45 pm and we weren’t seated for a half an hour. Everything took so long to come out and we didn’t leave until 10:40 pm. Unfortunately, when our food did come, it was cold and lacked flavor. We both got the duck and agreed it was the worst duck we’ve ever gotten at a restaurant. We were also seated in an event room outside of the restaurant that didn’t reflect the fine dining atmosphere we expected. It felt thrown together and resembled a church event. It didn’t feel special at all and I wouldn’t consider folding tables and chairs in a carpeted room fine dining. Given the price and the occasion, we were hoping for a more memorable experience. This was our first and last impression here. We couldn’t wait to leave.

We had never been here and thought we would try it for Valentine’s Day. The cocktail at the bar while we waited for our table was nice. After that the hostess tried to seat us in an empty and very poorly heated patio, we declined that table and were taken into a banquet hall with large folding tables/chairs and harsh lighting. Nothing romantic about this restaurant at all – we went somewhere else and had a nice dinner.

Pros: Service is FAST. Each drink and food course came out very promptly but they did not rush the experience. Wait staff cleared plates quickly and were always refilling water glasses. Brittney, our waitress offered great input and was quick to clarify any menu questions we had. The manager checked in several times and was prompt when needing service. As a vegetarian there were quite a few dishes that fit this dietary restriction. Drinks were tasty and strong with a large selection. Restroom’s were well designed, clean and spacious.

Cons: Music was a tad too loud and with the open concept it was loud at times. We were still able to have conversation.

Overall, if you are looking for an intimate date night spot this is the place. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to friends and family.

This place shows a lot of promise! I would definitely go back, especially for happy hour to have bread, pizza, and cocktails. It’s an interesting, rural atmosphere and there’s not really another place like it in the area.

We tried the Black Stallion Manhattan and Pink Pony cocktails and they were both very well executed. (There are dessert cocktails that arent on the menu, including an espresso martini. See my pic for the list. I suggest they add these to the regular cocktail list because i wouldve ordered a “dessert” cocktail before dinner if given the option).

The bread appetizer is extremely fresh and is some of the best restaurant bread I’ve had. I also recommend the hot honey pizza. The grouper sandwich was good but a bit bland. I would recommend getting the grouper blackened instead.

Everything was slow from service to drink orders to food. They are definitely understaffed but hopefully this is a temporary problem because they are new. If you’re in a rush, I would wait a few weeks to try this place. They aim to please, however, and compensated us for our long wait time. The servers are all very polite and accommodating, they just need more of them!

What an amazing spot in Livingston County! We recently moved from Italy, the pasta and sauces were amazing in the seasonal scallop dish. I highly suggest the Blood Orange Mojito & the Horse Manhattan. We completed the meal with Moose Tracks, perfect ending for a great meal. Make sure you book ahead. Can’t wait to return.

A client of mine said they enjoyed this place, so I gave it a try. I was not impressed. The drink I ordered wasn’t even three quarters full and if I took out the giant ice cube out-it wouldn’t even equal 2 ounces and that was $17. I ordered my son a couple of mocktails that he enjoyed. The French onion burger had potential but was a little small and only had a few onions on it. The cookie desert was good. The waitress lacked a lot of things including personality but she’s really young and probably shy and didn’t know exactly what to say or do so I’m not blaming her. The experience was a little lame overall. I loved the horse statues though. Also, this is definitely more of a banquet venue with the restaurant being tucked all the way in the back. I made reservations which wasn’t necessary.
