We went for brunch and we were not disappointed!! My scramble was hearty and delicious! My wife had the BLT and finished the whole thing, she never finishes a meal at the restaurant. The bacon was crispy and flavorful. My daughter had the rueben sandwich, awesome! I had a bite and I’m having one the next time! The portions are healthy and food delicious! Highly recommend. I’ve heard that sometimes there may be a wait to get seated but we didn’t wait. Also I have to say that their biscuits are the BEST!

I brought my two daughters and neice for brunch. Atmosphere was lite and service was prompt. Huge menu which originally worried me but was absolutely put at ease because all of our choices came hot and at same time, showing great kitchen time management. Again, the food was excellent. I recommend the “Twice As Nice” (half order biscuits & gravy/ half order eggs benedict). Best hollandaise sauce I’ve had in a long time.
We met Shelly when making our order. She the poster-child of warm hospitality. I’ll definitely be going back. Thank you Ms.Shelly.

Food was amazing and you get a bang for your buck! Husband ordered the bananas foster French toast and he said it tasted like banana cream pie – yum! It also came with bacon and eggs! Amazing value! I ordered the bacon and eggs breakfast and it came with a generous portion of hash browns and an English muffin with homemade raspberry jam. It was so good!

The portions are huge here and the taste of the food is pretty good. The biscuits and gravy needed salt and pepper. Biscuits are huge but pretty dry for my southern taste. The diced potatoes were so close to being delicious but they were seasoned with dill weed which was a bit odd and if some onion was added they would’ve great. My husband’s corned beef hash was definitely the best dish. The atmosphere is messy and cluttered like you’d expect at a hole in the wall mom and pop diner. The owner and other waitstaff were wonderful and kind.

Please wash and store your lettuce properly!
I order from here a lot and it’s normally good, but just recently the chef salad I got had bugs in it, an inch worm (dead) and some kind of mite (live), closer inspection found a few more mites before I threw it out.
I’m assuming it’s just a recent batch of the lettuce because previous orders were fine as far as I could tell

You get a decent amount of food, but the dishes were cold. We got our drinks right away, but he was not our waitress. Hubby got this kitchen sink bowl that had everything in it and the dish was cold. The cheese was not melted at all. He ordered wheat toast and they gave him rye instead and when he said something about it, the waitress argued and did not offer a replacement. I had the chicken fried steak, gravy on the side. I am glad I did. Gravy was not fresh, nor was it country gravy. It was some sort of white gravy, but not really sure what was in it. My scrambled eggs were not cooked all the way through. Waitress took our order and that was it. She never came back to the table. She wasn’t even the one who dropped off our food. She delivered checks to other tables, we never got ours. You did hear her in the back talking to a wait staff member, stating that he (meaning my husband) didn’t know what he was talking about when it came to the toast though. The coffee guy came around to the table and asked if hubby wanted a coffee to go. He said yes, and then that was the last we saw of the coffee guy. He never came back. Then, when we went to pay, if you pay by card, they charge you a fee, so our 40 dollar breakfast turned into a 42 dollar breakfast. With the prices that they charge, there should not be a fee. You have other breakfast choices. This would not be my first choice and when visiting again, will not be returning. In the pictures that I posted, you can see the state of their kitchen from the register.

The hostess was short with us but the waitress was mostly friendly.
The food and atmosphere however were awful.
The whole place was grimmy, dingy, and sticky. The glasses and flatware had a film on them.
The burger was bland, the pancakes were starchy, the scrambled eggs were rubbery, the chicken fried steak was soggy, the fresh fruit was slimy, and the macaroni was a grainy cheese soup with soggy noodles.
No one could eat more than a few bites and we had to get out of there.

First time dining at Shelly’s this morning and it won’t be my last. I appreciate them being open on the holiday (new years day). Delicious and savory breakfast. Tasty Bloody Mary for only $7. Most impressed with the attentive and proactive staff.

I’m curious why Southern Diner’s has Shelly’s address and phone number on their receipts? Seems extremely sketchy. See attached photo. We bought Liver & Onions and Fried Porkchops and eggs.
Food is good but this is deceptive on either your part or Southern Diner’s. I’ll be asking questions.

The young man who answered the phone seemed professional and efficient. But when we arrived, the staff was lackluster, complaining about their day, and devoid of a sense of customer service, positivity, or hustle.
Cleanliness was lacking. From the benches where you wait at the front, to the tables and the bathrooms.
The food was just okay, and we won’t be back. The gravy had a curdled texture to it, not smooth or creamy. The potatoes were good, but not enough to make up for the entrees. The portion sizes were huge, which was appreciated.
Overall, Shelly’s put warm food in our tummies after a plane ride and before a trip to the beach… It served its purpose, but unfortunately was a disappointment.
