Believe the hype. This is probably the best dinner experience I have had. From beginning to end the fun and spectacle did not stop. The food was delicious and the alcohol pairings were generous (we were dusty the next day) the staff are great and you can tell how much care and planning goes into the whole thing. You can tell they love working there and do what they can to ensure guests have a great experience. Music also could not have been better. Excited to try out their sister venue next!

What truly set Shelanous apart for us was how inclusive the experience was. We had a non alcoholic guest in our group and the team went above and beyond to make them feel just as considered and celebrated. Thoughtful drink options, zero awkwardness, just pure hospitality done right.
The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail made the night feel special without ever feeling pretentious. It was warm, vibrant, and perfect for a family gathering where you want everyone to walk away happy, which we absolutely did.
Every single one of us loved it. Shelanous is not just a restaurant, it is an experience and one we will be talking about and returning to for a long time. Highly, highly recommend.

The restaurant concept is creative and different — definitely not your typical dining experience. The service was good and semi-personalized, and you can tell the team truly puts effort into creating a memorable night.
However, this experience involves a lot of interaction with other guests, so if you’re introverted or visiting with someone who prefers privacy, it might not be the best fit. The setup includes long communal tables where you sit facing each other, and there’s a lot happening at once — making it more lively than relaxing.
It’s not an elegant or romantic setting, so I’d suggest keeping that in mind depending on what you’re celebrating.
The food portions were enough, with a good variety of flavors and themed presentation. Each dish came with creative effects, matching tableware, and plenty of surprises.
One suggestion: the microphone volume used throughout the dinner could be turned down a bit. One staff member, who playfully spoke like Batman, had a rough voice that made the amplified breathing sounds a little distracting — something everyone at our table noticed.
Overall, it was a fun and unusual experience, full of humor (some jokes better than others), and definitely something to remember. I’m glad I tried it once, but it’s not something I’d personally repeat. My guest enjoyed it too but mentioned feeling a bit uncomfortable with all the interaction — so it really depends on the kind of night you’re after.

We had such a great time at Shelanous – food was delicious, and the sensory experience amazing. If you haven’t been here before, it is NOT an intimate date-night – you’re at a communal table with strangers, essentially at a show that tells a story about the great food you eat. All of your senses will be stimulated at some point. The food and alcohol were well-matched, and the non-alcoholic cocktails were interesting. We wish we’d come with a group – next time 🙂

It was such a wonderful culinary experience. So much detail and thought has gone into every single dish and moment of the night. There were so many surprises that awakened the senses. The smells, sounds, sights and sensory delights were truly immersive.
My personal favourite season was autumn. everything about the experience and the tastes were so phenomenal! I’m not going to give any spoilers!
I will just say one thing for those who go… interact and engage with each other and have fun! This experience is a co-creation! Connect with yourself and the people around you. It’s a once in a lifetime experience to share with others.
