Lousy service and customer service. Ordered Gbegiri and ewedu through Door dash and specifically requested for a beef and fish. Then I called to confirm the details of the order to avoid issues.First the stew was more of oil than Gbegiri and I was given turkey ( which was mostly bone). This was after calling to confirm the details of my order. The customer service actually told me there were other stores I could order from if I did not like the food.

I never had any Nigerian dishes before , so I wanted to try the egusi soup they said u have to get use to the texture. The meat no sauce was so dry n hard n spicy. I kept tryn to eat it I just can’t so I give it one star. The place was very clean n the staff was nice.

Few years ago, I loved this restaurant as Lawfem. Now it’s really gone down. My meat was hard, and dry. The portions in one of my meal looked like someone’s leftovers for $16. It didn’t even taste like African food. Unfortunately, this will be my last time. Don’t waste your money!!

So, I got the curry goat. Mostly bone and fat. More rice to meat ratio and so many plantains. I was upset about my meal. Not to mention I showed up with my family and placed my order. But another family came in about 10 mins later and received their food before myself. I was confused because we most definitely kept hearing for “it will be up in 5 mins” but we waited for a while. And I got my food and the meat was bone and the rice was dry. And there were too many plantains to enjoy it. Photo: what’s left. Too much rice and plantains. The bones and fat I got. Had no meat but some mostly fat though

I order food from them on Monday February 6th using DoorDash and I can CONFIDENTLY say that will be the last time this restaurant gets my money. I typically don’t order from them because I am not a big fan and I have gotten food poisoning from them TWICE but it was Monday and the Nigerian restaurants I usually go to were closed. My jollof tasted funny almost like white rice and stew with a spoon full of curry, I literally couldn’t eat it AT ALL so I keep it in the fridge. Wednesday night I’m cleaning out my fridge and can u believe this rice was covered in mold! LIKE NOW I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT SELLING FRESH FOOD! Honestly I find it hard to believe this restaurant is actually operated by real Nigerians because if so THIS IS PURE WICKEDNESS AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Honestly don’t know how or why this restaurant is still open, over the last 7 years the quality of food has just gotten sooo bad that honestly at this point you can’t even pay eat there. If you’re looking for Nigeria food in Baltimore save yourself the trouble and just go try one of the others. Kuramo, platinum amala, Beulah or even Lodi’s kitchen BUT RESPECTFULLY THIS AINT IT AT ALL.

I ordered the Egusi with pounded yam, asun and spicy gizzards. Egusi was ok. Spicy gizzards were good and VERY spicy ( almost inedible I had to take breaks lol) asun was tough and chewy.

Very small portions. I ordered through Doordash so there weren’t any size options or any options for sides. We had to settle for what they chose for us. Only 3 pieces of oxtail and a few pieces of goat. I love African food so I will order again, but definitely something different. They should really put more meat in their containers.
