Hands down the best food and service we’ve ever had.
We drive in from Ottawa just to eat at Sheep’s Head Bistro — it’s that special. Rizwan and Josée have created something truly extraordinary here: a cozy, welcoming space with a menu that changes weekly and never misses.
From the freshest lobster rolls to the best seafood chowder I’ve had (and I’ve been to Boston plenty of times), every dish is thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour. The bistro overlooks the St. Lawrence River, making it perfect for a casual lunch or a romantic dinner.
We loved it so much that Rizwan and Josée graciously let us host my late mother-in-law’s memorial with our whole family on a Sunday afternoon. The space is warm, accommodating, and intimate — ideal for everything from a meal for two to a gathering of 40.
Sheep’s Head Bistro is a gem, and we’ll be back again and again for as long as they’ll have us. Highly recommend.

We’ve been coming to Sheep’s Head Bistro over and over. It’s always consistent with great food and excellent service. We always call ahead because seating is limited. The owners are terrific and put great care into everything they do with the restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with local art pieces and an industrial feel with brick and black light fixtures. The food has great combinations of salty, sweet and savoury. The owners will often serve you and provide great conversation and food recommendations. We’re definitely a loyal customer.

We have been wanting to stop in for a while now but are last minute people & it’s always been fully booked. We were happy to get a reservation for brunch over the long weekend, and we loved it! It’s a cozy space, very welcoming, fantastic friendly service, delicious food! Price was reasonable for 4 people, especially considering we had drinks & dessert, & taking into account the crazy pricing everywhere for everything lately!
Ordered the burgers, eggs benny classic & the seafood chowder, all super yummy! The carrot cake is one of the absolute best we’ve had! Ever! We will definitely be back for dinner when we’re in the area again.

An absolute wonderful experience. The service, food and atmosphere was excellent. We had two members of our party who had food allergies and the staff takes those issues very seriously. Our entire party of six had a variety of drinks, appetizers and entrees all of which where exceptional. We will be returning again to experience all that Sheeps Head Bistro has to offer.

Absolutely amazing place and exceptional staff and probably the best food I’ve had by far. I’ve been to some exceptional places but this takes the cake. Can’t wait to go back again. Also the drink selection is top notch and would recommend going there for that alone. Worth a splurge once In a while.

This place is truly special. Visited my partner in Cornwall for the first time and I feel so lucky that we found this place. The service from the owners is truly unmatched, you can tell how genuinely kind and passionate they are. The FOOD… oh my god. My only regret is I couldn’t try everything. We had the Donair bao buns as an appetizer, the duck confit burger, and the short rib. Every single thing was delicious – special shout out to the short rib that literally melts in your mouth. The COCKTAILS – you have to be kidding me. The owner offered us her special Pumpkin spice espresso martini creation – and I don’t care if it’s dramatic but it made me emotional with how insanely delicious it was. I couldn’t recommend a restaurant more – you will regret not trying it.

Went for a special dinner and we had Jen as a server. She was impeccable. Slight mix up with our food, everything was rectified immediately, the owner (I believe) came to talk to us immediately and they were incredibly accommodating and just wonderful overall. The food was amazing, pretty pricey but to be expected. Fast. Environment was more noisy with a large party but that’s not the bistro’s fault. Probably the best service and treatment I’ve ever gotten anywhere. Will be going back for the fall menu!

We began with their tomato soup which was absolutely delicious! My friends all enjoyed their meals. The piri piri was just okay for me, it was my first time having it. I probably wouldn’t order it again, but there are plenty of other menu items I was interested in. The desserts were excellent. I will definitely be back and excited for the next meal.
