Absolutely fantastic food and service! While there might be a bit of a wait, it’s 100% worth it — everything is freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. The quality is consistently excellent, and even if you accidentally order something you didn’t intend to, chances are you’ll still love it! Highly recommended!

If you’re thinking about going to Shax, the answer should definitely be yes.
Absolutely brilliant first experience. The prices are a bit higher than some other burger places but it’s well worth it for the quality, taste and portion size.
We got the shax stack, hot-ness monster and the Nashville tenders OG heat along with 2 portions of fries. It was all perfect. Great crispness on the bacon, nice onion rings and a juicy burger patty. You could tell the burger ingredients were fresh and it hadn’t just been thrown in the box like some places. The tenders were a good level of spice and had a nice kick but nothing too spicy. Paired very well with the ranch dip.
The photos show what is one portion of fries split between two of us and there was still enough for another portion. We had one whole box of fries left. The fries were excellent skin on fries that were golden, crispy and perfectly fluffy.
Marked to a 4 for atmosphere just as there wasn’t as much seating inside but still a few tables. Very clean inside and the toilet was clean too.
Only thing I can think of is that some tissues/wipes might be handy as there were none when we went which would have come in handy. Also, didn’t realise the drink would be a can with the takeaway order but overall, absolutely brilliant experience.

Ordered a hot bird burger was very pink inside definitely was not cooked properly £15:50 down the drain would never eat from this place again. Asked for a refund and boy kept telling me they do not do refunds can only offer me more food why would I want more when my burger wasent even ready. Phoned the manager back and he was very rude says he does not care about reviews and hung up the phone on me two times

Wow! Best fries around fresh and crispy and all the flavourings on point. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Came for takeout out of town and were invited to take a seat in instead on the dreary stormy day, so we did. Place is incredibly clean, well decorated and staff are lovely. Best of luck on your back to normal from this Monday hours. Wish them many good sales. Definitely suggest getting the grilled wings too and the milkshakes go down a treat during and after. The place was empty when we went in which is a shame, but I suspect the takeaway (just eat/Uber eats) is busy enough that dine in custom whilst welcome isn’t relied upon. Because it was quiet there wasn’t much of an atmosphere to score, but my daughter and I had a pleasant enough time waiting for our food.
Staff were polite and friendly though not much chat, which is fine. Takeaway orders seemed to be taking priority, meaning we waited a little longer than you’d expect for our food hence 4/5 on service.
The food however was absolutely worth the wait. I’ve eaten many a burger in my life, I would walk back to shax for another ‘big smoke’ with a side of lemon pepper fries. The burger itself was delicious but the addition of smoked pulled brisket was sensational.
Daughter had the classic cheeseburger which was also excellent with regular fries, though she couldn’t finish her burger as it was quite big for a 6yr old in hindsight though they do have a kids menu.
Overall best burger I’ve had in a long time anywhere, probably the best I’ve ever had in Dundee. I haven’t lived in Dundee for years but would come back just to grab a shax for sure.

Halal meat! Dined in and ordered burger and fries with a smoothie. Few tables for sitting in. Reasonably priced. Recommended a burger by the man on the till and decided to go ahead with it. Generous portions and fries were very crispy. Would come back again definitely recommend

This is the best burger in town! You have to try the brisket bbq burger! The meat is so rich in flavour with a kick of smokey hint and it all melt in your mouth! The portion is filling and super generous. We always order this. For those who prefer non-spicy burger, the best option will be big smoke. Their milkshake is also super! Worth every penny.

Great attention to detail with each and every menu item – from the buns to the crispyness of the chicken to the in house sauces. Had one the best chicken burgers I have ever tasted. Great food. Definitely recommend.
