Stopped by for lunch during a break in a soccer tournament. The food was tasty, though a bit pricey for what you got. Loved the old barn with its beams, and the grounds were thoughtfully decorated for Halloween.

We got the pulled pork and chicken, and smoked pork ribs. Alex waited on us and she was pleasant, professional and efficient. Well done to the owners for hiring such a wonderful young woman

Very stretchy ice cream, which was a fun texture I don’t often experience. They have a lot of flavors to offer, and all the ones I tried were very good. I especially recommend the white chocolate raspberry truffle.

Gave similar feedback privately month ago with no real change so here goes. Ice cream is great. Setting is beaucolic. Service is horrendous. My order a month ago was a total disaster. Took forever to get and when I got it it wasn’t even close to correct. When asked to have it corrected was looked at like I had four head.
Tonight I’m back to try again. Window and indoor counter open but told after waiting inside for a while, that I had to order outside. This is right after employee took an inside person’s order and I have been standing here for 10 minutes, clearly waiting to order with staff yelling over “we will be right with you”. They even have signs with arrows stating both the outside window and indoor parlour are open. While waiting a woman came in who had received an incorrect order and instead of apologizing (so much for the customer is always right), the girl started arguing with her about how she “knew she scooped the right ice cream” etc etc. I was embarrassed for her.
I watched one girl lick her fingers after serving ice cream and another handle money and then touch a cone and begin scooping ice cream. The staff is inept, not trained, have pony tails and hair down with no hair nets, are licking their fingers, handling money and then food – all health code/sanitation violations. What an utter disaster! As I drive away the outside line is 20 deep and people are not happy. This has been a family favorite for years but it’s currently on fire…..

The ice cream was amazing! My pistachio had a very generous helping of nuts, and my partner’s strawberry was delicious as well. Very reasonably priced, will be back for sure.

Yum! Real ice cream with real ingredients (no artificial fillers etc) – very fun and friendly location and site of old dairy farm. Family loves the BBQ barn as well, tasty and lots of options. Super relaxed and never super crowded.

If your trips to Maine have rarely veered off of the I-95 artery, you have likely missed Shaw’s Ridge Farm, a small family-owned shop in Sanford. The Shaw family has been producing top-quality products for over 70 years and has clearly perfected the art of ice cream making. In addition to satisfying your sweet tooth, Shaw’s Ridge also boasts an adjoining bakery and BBQ barn for a full-meal experience.

It cost 8.95 to get a kiddie ice cream in a cup with sprinkles. Insane. I mean, it was fine completely average ice cream…. But really?? Then they ask you to tip 15, 20, or 25 percent. Come on. Other reviews mentioned finding hair in food… I did as well. Edited this review as i literally just had to throw out my $9 ice cream

We stopped by for ice cream and were amazed at how beautiful it was around sunset! Absolutely stunning, paired with amazing ice cream for a really great price? Highly recommend. So highly.

Not crowded at all. I had the Kahlua Brownie, and my date had the Black Raspberry. Good ice cream. The attendants behind the counter could have used another helper, but a great tradition continues!
