What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. Anna, our waiter, was exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. Her recommendations were spot on, and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The lively atmosphere, combined with the fantastic food—especially those nachos—and outstanding service from Tass and Anna, makes Sharky’s Cantina a standout spot in Oak Bluffs. Can’t wait to come back!
We ordered the Loaded Nachos, Chicken Bacon ranch Quesadillas, and Wings, and everything was delicious and satisfying. The nachos were just as she remembered: crispy, cheesy, and loaded. The quesadillas were packed with flavor and grilled perfectly, and the wings were hot, crispy, and juicy.
The food came out quickly, the staff was super friendly, and the whole atmosphere was fun and casual, perfect for a memorable meal with family. Sharky’s truly made our reunion special. Highly recommend!
The staff is always bunched up at the computer talking to each other and no one even greets you as you walk through the door. You just have to awkwardly break up their conversation to ask for your food. Every time.
Despite my cousin clearly stating that he is strictly vegan, Anastazia made a serious error by serving him a burrito that contained chicken. The situation was made worse when, in the middle of serving us, she left the restaurant entirely to meet her boyfriend across the street. Not only did she walk out to make out with him in full view of the restaurant, but she also failed to attend to our table during that time, leaving us without service.
In addition, when we received the bill, we were shocked to see a 20% gratuity automatically added, despite the fact that we had not been informed about this policy either on the menu or anywhere else in the restaurant. This was especially frustrating since we had arrived at different times and were seated separately, yet were charged as if we were one party.
To make matters worse, when we raised these concerns with the staff, they were dismissive and uncooperative. They refused to provide us with the name or contact information of the owner, insisting that they could do nothing to resolve the issue. The mistake with my cousin’s burrito was never corrected, and no attempt was made to compensate us for the poor service or the wrong order.
While the food was decent, the service was absolutely unacceptable and ruined the experience. I will not be returning to this restaurant, and I strongly advise others to think twice before dining here.
Pico was fresh and small in quantity compared to large bowl of chips. So we asked for extras salsa. The salsa was clearly store bought, not fresh, and again, it was a small cup. When we got the check, to my surprise, extra salsa was charged around $3. I’ve never seen any tex-mex place to charge for store bough salsa.
But I highly recommend this place for lovely food. And not to mention, they are the only place who stays open late till 12 AM. When we visited at the end of March, all other restaurants closed around 9 pm.
Ohh I almost forgot, don’t forget to look at their wall for some funny quotes.
I did like how the place was decorated.
Eating outside next to the restaurant provided a nice breeze, shade and quiet.
The citrusy build a bowl $10.99 + $7 for marinated steak hit the spot just right.
Service with a smile.
Downside was WiFi a little spotty.
As I found out because of lack of cell tower on the Island it’s the norm that most cell phone service is also iffy connection.
I guess most of us are on vacation, so relaxed pace and giving up some technology is a good thing, right?
