This place was just ok. Staff was friendly and drinks were good. Menu is very limited. Food looks great but textures weren’t. Tuna looked rare but was very dry. Fish fry was thin and tough around the edges. Salads had undesirable pieces of lettuce and tomatoes. Definitely won’t be going back.

We ended up here after reservations got mixed up? They got my big group in no questions asked. The server was great last night on 3-25 and I can’t remember her name. But top notch service for a table of 11. Friendly, drinks always full. Besides help with food she was the only one taking orders. Can’t thank you all enough for a great birthday dinner. We’ll be back again, food was delish.

Had reservations for Shanty South on open table. Arrived at Shanty South to find it closed. Went over to Shanty & asked what’s up with Shanty South being closed & that we had reservations. Get these blank look from 2 hostess who couldn’t explain why it was closed. Told them I had called Shanty on Friday to inquire if Shanty S. Was still doing prime rib on Saturday. Hostee on phone never said Shanty South would be closed this Saturday March 18. Not sure why open table would take reservation on Shanty South if it was closed. Poor communication from restaurant hostee who answered phone on Friday, open table table taking reservations when restaurant is closed. Do staff at Shanty not see that reservations are being taken & Shanty knowing that reservations were made for today at restaurant that is closed. Very disappointing! Ended up eating at Shanty to order a top sirloin that was fatty & alot of core in it. If your paying $42 for a steak at a restaurant that is usually top notch I would expect a better cut of meat. You have no problem uping your prices of food & I’m willing to pay that price but then I expect a piece of meat with better quality then what I had this evening.

Oh my goodness, THIS PLACE doesn’t disappoint! From the appetizers to the meal. Even the sauce and dips are homemade! Supberb… I’m coming here from now on and the service is excellent!! My 1st time here. I will return! With more friends and family! Fast service too. Inviting atmosphere. Social Distancing, Clean, there’s slot machines for those who like that. A bar, big screen TV’s. They’ve got it all. Entrance is off Rte. 41 only near Wadsworth, next door to The Shanty & Captain Porkey’s! Go try it for yourself.

Fish fry was delicious! Ordered at the bar and received friendly service. Many side options to choose from. Atmosphere casual and friendly. Spotlessly clean! Menu filled with items that look great as well as Shanty favorites. Stop in!
