We arrived about an hour before they closed on a Saturday evening. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The menu is super varied. The preparation and presentation of the dishes we ordered were very good. What we ordered tasted excellent. Just before we were about to leave the entire shopping center lost power, they had to take our contact information and call us for payment later. They were trusting and pleasant about that unfortunate situation. We will definitely visit again. The only draw back is that the restaurant is on the small size and we had a table directly in the line of door, it is very cold that evening and the cold breeze coming from outside was uncomfortable.

We’ve done dine in, takeout and delivery and it has always been exceptional. Food is delicious and it is incredible on how much you get for so little $. Other day I got sushi/sashimi platter with a dinner sized salt pepper pork, plus a salad and soup for a little under 50 dollars. Insanely good!!

During several visits to the nearby Kibitz Room, which has great food, I always noticed how busy Shangri aka was. Went for the first time. It was excellent. The food is absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable. Service is superior. The people who work there are very nice. Picking the preferred vegetables I wanted in my stir fry is a great idea. Looking forward to the next visit. Highly recommended!

Excellent choice of Chinese cuisine in the area if you want something simple and quick but made with quality ingredients. Came here on Easter for a quick bite with my mom and enjoyed the service and peaceful atmosphere. Definitely is my must go to spot if im ever in the mood for some good chinese food.

We love this place!! The food is absolutely delicious. Greg is the nicest person and is always warm in welcoming whether you are eating in or getting take out. We have had many dishes from soup to entrees. We love the wonton soup (amazing broth), sesame chicken, fried rice and the Greg roll. The only suggestion I always have is to have crispy noodles for the soup I like a crunch with the wonton. Keep up the great work!

This place was great! I have celiac disease and the rest of my family doesn’t. Everyone was super happy about their food. My son thought his sushi was different than where we usually go,but the other dishes we got more than made up for that. Try the Rice Cake dish! We even enjoyed the left overs the next day, so on top of great food, the value was nice too.

Shangri La Chinese Restaurant is our go-to for takeout. Great sushi and Chinese cuisine, always fresh, well prepared, and consistent. Orders are accurate, packaged well, and ready on time. A reliable spot when you want quality takeout without any hassle.

Pretty great food and attentive service! Generally, everything we had from the dumplings to the soups to the sushi to our entrees was pretty good! The orange chicken was especially tasty with a rich, tangy flavor. The service was also exceptional, as the wait staff was very attentive and they worked well as a team in making sure we were well accomadated. One complaint we have is that the broccoli in garlic sauce didn’t taste like garlic at all, despite big pieces of garlic being in the dish; the cruchiness of the broccoli and the decent enough sauce made up for this though. Also, the dry pot chicken was good, though I’ve had better at Han Dynasty, which isn’t that far away. Lastly, we were seated at one of the two tables between a partition and the sushi bar. This area is surrounded by boxes and supplies, so we felt like we were sitting in a closet. It was easy enough to ignore though. Also, I am assuming this is temporary since I didn’t see this in another picture I saw of the restaurant. Overall, I would definitely come back and am curious to try some of their other dishes!

Quality food. Has an upscale and trendy environment and vibe. Interesting to notice the changes over the decades prior and after the move to the smaller location across from the mediocre pizza(forget name).
Seitan and soy meat alternatives always surprise me and my friends with the quality. Prices reflect the quality. So it’s becoming more of a treat/ date than causal weekday food.
Ask about the traditional food, for an authentic treat, beyond main stream Chinese take out

Our traditional Christmas dinner was sidelined by covid, so my daughters and I decided on a festive Chinese Christmas dinner! I was warned by @shangrilachillnj they would be busy, and ordered my dinner two days in advance….and am glad I did. Even after waiting a few extra minutes their food was as tasty and flavorful as ever. They have the best hot pepper beef on the east coast!
