I kid you not, it was a MASSIVE disappointment and whoever is leaving these 5 star reviews should have their accounts banned. I’m telling you guys- be forewarned. By far the worst $34 I ever spent!
Been back to Shang Hai several times now. They continue to do a great job. Party of 3 on a Sunday. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Food came out nice and hot. Price is still quite nice and once again there was enough food for another meal.

Hadn’t been here since new owners took over years ago. Very pleased with experience. Party of 5 with Fried Rice Combo, Sesame Chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Hunan Pork and Chicken. All rated very good. Fried Rice is one of best we’ve had in years. Lite background music and some Chinese shows on the TV screens added to experience. Service was fine and no issues arose. Everybody had enough leftovers for another meal. Excellent value for the price. Will certainly be back.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for real Chinese food. We will definitely come back!
We tried a variety of dishes, including egg drop soup, egg rolls, General Tso’s chicken, pepper steak, and sweet and sour pork. Everyone was pleased and full with their choices. The server was nice and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed.Overall, it was a delightful meal with the family, and we look forward to returning. Highly recommended!
In summary the employee was unaware of their own menu, called a customer a liar when the employee was wrong, used gaslighting techniques, unprofessional and rude the entire time on the phone.
I understand rough days, as a veteran I get it. However, the black of integrity and passing blame is not becoming of an establishment that supports veterans and first responders. That alone warrants my additional time for this review. I do not recommend anyone to go to this restaurant as if this is how they treat customers on the phone, what is happening in the kitchen.
Retrain your employee or find one better to answer the phone.
Lunch menu more than enough options to choose from all ranging from $9 to $9.50 per plate.
Service was very good even though the waitress did not speak a lot of English.
I’d rate it one star, but the egg drop soup was good. The crabmeat rangoons were good to me but there was no crabmeat. The entree of lemon chicken…it was extremely greasy, and in some spots I couldn’t tell if it was overcooked or undercooked and it was stringy.
I just found this place and I wish I found it sooner!! Only had the sweet-and-sour chicken with fried rice and wonton soup… All was delicious. Eventually, I will probably try everything on the menu. The best part was the price of the meal and drink, under $14. It’s hard to find a good sit down meal anywhere for that! This is NOT buffet style however, the food is similar to what you find in those restaurants, but better quality. No sushi, just hot meals! I shall return.
Excellent Sesame Chicken, good sized portions. Battery was crispy and had lots of flavor. Food came out almost too hot to eat, straight from the kitchen.
Lunch special was cheap, and included crab rangoons or egg roll, and soup.
Service was fast, waiters and waitresses both came by to refill drinks multiple times. Wait staff worked all tables, not just specific ones.
Lunch menu had a large selection of items. Also offered is an early dinner special, which ia the same as lunch but between 4:30 and 6.
I’ll definitely return for the sesame chicken, and to try some more of the items. Excellent service and food.
