This is my go to spot when I’m NC! I love the country atmosphere, the southern food is what I look for when I’m in town! The breakfast lunch and dinner is buffet or menu order, and the ice tea is very good! There is always a variety and great selection of food! But I’ve read that they were closing and I’m very disappointed because where will I go to get food like I have been enjoying for the last 10 years!

My experience at Shamrock was AMAZING!!! 🙂 My grandmother introduced me to this restaurant she used to frequent when she lived in the area. We decided to go here during our vacation! The buffet food was fresh and very yummy! The staff are very hospitable and nice as well! I can’t wait to come back!!!

We are new in the area so we gave this place a try instead of The Waffle House and man was the “Food Snob ” disappointed! Waited 30 minutes for my breakfast to come out COLD ! I asked for little links and I was served a big link( dry and old). They don’t serve rye bread, so, I opted for the wheat( that looked like white). I gotta say the coffee was good. I’m a diabetic and I need to eat after meds. So disappointing, hate that I cheated on The Waffle House. I was credited for my breakfast and I appreciated that. Great customer service, but, your establishment is a hard NO for me.

We saw it had a 4.2 rating but sadly today was a 2.0. Arrived about 2pm, waited to be seated, waited over 45 minutes for food to arrive. Our server was very apologetic- not sure if there was a shift change or a kitchen issue but I was really looking forward to a 4.2 experience. The restaurant seems popular so I might have to give them another chance next time I pass through.

I really don’t know how to explain it, but I can say the restaurant is really in need of repairs or upgrades. The food wasn’t “bad”, not great either, but I think a lot of people go for the buffet, which I can’t do buffet’s, it’s a personal preference. And our server was less than happy to be there….just wasn’t a good experience overall. The Google photos are not really reflective of the environment / vibe.

First visit to this restaurant. We were meeting an out of town friend for breakfast, and this seemed to be the only one in the area. There was a nice selection of breakfast items to choose from, and the prices were very fair. The portions were good for the price, and the food was tasty.

Workers were super patient and sweet. Place is clean. We ordered the county fried steak and the hamburger steak to go and you get more than your moneys worth. The food is top quality the portions are huge I couldn’t even finish mine. The food is cooked to order and everything was fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend 100% if you have never been you will go back again and again

Went for breakfast and got their special-ribeye with eggs, toast, and potatoes for $9.99. You can’t beat that. The place is a little dated but the servers were all very friendly. Got our food fast and everything was seasoned and tasted good.
