The food is typical bar fare offerings. The portions are huge, and I would have loved a lunch portion menu.
Edit: I was there on Saturday, so no lunch portion option. sadly, the salad did not keep overnight in the fridge and I had to throw it away (the lettuce was browned and the dressing weirdly coagulated).
The food was really good. The sandwiches were huge. I ended up taking half our food home! At first glance, I thought it was a
bit pricey, but you really get a lot for your money.
Lots of TVs, if you’re into sports viewing.
I would definitely recommend this place.
I booked them for my birthday celebration which happened last night. I had around 100 people, and they handled it amazingly well! They assigned 4 servers: Carli, Kayla, Kylie, and Emma. Everyone was very impressed with how attentive, friendly, and efficient these ladies were.
We’ll definitely use them again for such things!
The vibe at Shamrock is one of the reasons that i frequent and return. I’m greeted happily, and it’s always clean, inviting, and welcoming. I’ve been to places where i’ve been made to feel like i don’t belong and it feels like people are wondering why you are even there. This is not the atmosphere at Shamrock. It’s fairly spacious with pretty high ceilings, so it doesn’t feel a bit claustrophobic like the Shamrocks on Richmond Rd for one example. When i’m at Shamrock at Brannon Crossing, i’m always comfortable and never made to feel anxious about anything.
The food is excellent, and i think that their French fries and burgers are some of the best you can order in the city. Big selection of fairly priced drinks for a location that’s near Man-O-War and Nich Rd, a location that often yields expensive menus.
But mostly, i go because Shamrock has allowed 5 pinball machines in their establishment. All 5 games are fun, some of them (like the premium model King Kong and Collector’s Edition of Harry Potter) are God-tier games priced at $2 for three games. All of the games are objectively the best maintained machines that are available for public play in Lexington. If there is a problem with them, the game’s owner sees to it that they are quickly back up to their high standards. The machines get swapped in and out for different games from time-to-time, too.
Also, one of the most importing aspects of the good vibes that i experience there is that the staff is very good about just leaving me along and allowing me to play. They don’t approach me and try to upsell anything or try to make small talk because they think it would make me feel more welcomed or whatever. They greet me and give me the feeling of being welcomed in, and then they give me peace and space to play the games for as long as i want, and i’m never made to feel weird or an outcast about it. When Charlie the manager sees me, seems genuinely happy, actually, and there’s something to be said for that.
6 out of 5 stars. thanks for everything!
