I love how diverse the workforce was so that is why when I was shopping the other day it made choosing Shake Shack a no brainer for me. The burger tasted better than I remember. I got the Smokehouse burger. If you are at Southcenter mall and looking for a good burger, Shake Shack is a good choice.

Over $20 for a tiny, sloppy, smashed sandwich and a medium sized milkshake.
Gentrified so they don’t even take cash, which is SUPPOSED to be legal tender for all debts public or private but okay, be unconstitutional?
The workers did nothing wrong by the way, the service was fine.
I should have read the reviews first but hopefully someone reads this and avoids this place.
If we’re going to pay MORE and need to expose our private data to scammers every time we pay then at LEAST give me enough food so I’m not hungry again in 45 minutes imagining all the sushi I could have gotten with LESS money with the lunch special at Sumo Sushi.
And it’s called “SHAKE shack” but they only have a few shakes, and they’re virtually the same quality as drive-thru fast food…
I mean seriously, even Jack in the Box would have been similar quality for slightly less price.
Just another location that thinks “being in the mall” is the only aspect of a business that matters…
If they bother to respond with some canned customer service comment, then they didn’t read this part: the BEST thing will be when ANOTHER business takes that corner spot in the mall. The BEST thing you can do is close.
SO tired of inflationary gentrified businesses out of touch with the locals.
Edit: WOW yeah all their recent reviews are bad but they just keep asking for details via email… But the bad stuff keeps happening…

The atmosphere and service here seems on par with a mall food court joint, it’s kind of an “it is what it is” situation.
My husband was underwhelmed with his veggie burger and same for the drinks. The truffle fries weren’t the freshest.
But my god the truffle burger was incredible. I have not enjoyed a fast food burger as much as this one in a really long time. Very flavorful and juicy and really hit the spot.

Delicious! While the wait felt a little long for fast food, it was because they were busy and our order came out perfect. We had both of the special sandwiches that are hot and they were delicious. The hot chicken sandwich wasn’t that hot, but The burger with the heat on it had a lot of flavor. We were very surprised at the fries which were crinkle cut,
Which isn’t my favorite type of fry, but they were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The shake was delicious too. We tried the cookies and cream, but we would go back and try another one. We’re curious what the regular burger taste like and would definitely go back to see.

I’m so excited that Shake Shack has a location in South Center—finally, a great burger spot close to home! The quality of the food is really impressive, and the staff is consistently professional and friendly.
I always order the double cheeseburger with fries—those are my favorites, and they never disappoint. Every bite has that classic Shake Shack flavor that makes the trip worth it.
That being said, I did notice the burgers were a bit on the greasy and salty side during this visit, which kept it from being a perfect 5 stars. Still, it’s a fantastic spot, and I’ll definitely be back!

The food is usually really good and I always enjoy eating it but I went today and found a black curly hair in my fries. The service is never good and last time they gave us the wrong burger and we politely asked for the right one and they had a lot of attitude and were not apologetic at all.

I moved to Seattle Washington 2 years ago and I was leaving Indianapolis Indiana and one of the places in Indiana that I really enjoyed dining in was a shake shack and when I was leaving I never knew if I would ever be able to eat shake shack on a regular until I moved here and I found one. I think this company makes the best burgers has the best food has the cleanest facilities has the friendliest crew and staff I just love this place and I am very proud to say I love shake shack so please keep up the good work keep doing everything that you are doing I love this place

“I recently stopped by Shake Shack at the mall, and I was seriously impressed! From the moment I walked in, the customer service was top-notch—the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel personal. It’s always great when the team seems genuinely happy to help. And don’t even get me started on the banana shake—absolutely phenomenal! It was perfectly creamy, rich in flavor, and honestly one of the best shakes I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be going back soon!”

The first time I tried shake shack it was really good and the burger was regular sizes but on December 10th 5pm, I went back to eat shake shack for a second time and the burger i ordered was so small! i ate it so fast in like 4 bites i wish i couldve taken a picture but i was so hungry i ate it, it didn’t taste terrible i was just disappointed by the size of the burger it looked like a burger for a kid, and on top of that the woman working there took her sweet time handing me my order wasn’t the best experience

Employees barely acknowledge you. Are not nice at all. They ask for a tip on the self service kiosk. Which I’m regretting leaving after getting the food. I truthfully thought the option size was a joke when I saw the burger. Paid over $40 for two burgers one fry and two drinks… only to receive a kids meal size burger… my 12-year-old daughter who doesn’t even eat too much walked away hungry after eating here. The Avacado was black. My half and half drink tasted like water when i wad halfway though. Would truthfully never buy anything here again. Go to Chipotle right next to them. Will get better food for less.
