It was our first visit and it didn’t live up to the hype. The ordering process was easy enough at the kiosk but it didn’t really offer many selections for personally modifying your selections. The food was delivered to our table was they neglected to include napkins (or a spoon for my milkshake). The onion rings were noticably crispy and crunchy. The cheese sauce was a nice plus with both the burger and the onion rings. No drink refills is definitely a negative feature since my son usually drinks a lot. I was not impressed with the selection of milkshakes flavors either. For an eatery with ‘shake’ in its name, it was more than a little disappointing. The tabletop shuffleboard game was nice though. All in all, one visit was enough.

Pleasantly surprised! I waited as long as I could to try this place We finally caved guys. We have to try it at least once. So I got the Avocado Bacon Chicken Sandwich and a Strawberry Shake. Both were SO GOOD. I thought the sandwich seemed small, but it was pretty filling. My husband got the Smash Burger with the spicy fries and ranch. He said his burger was amazing, but his fries didn’t come with ranch and were actually a little spicy for him or maybe I was supposed to grab my own ranch? If that’s the case I didn’t know lol. But he said the burgers are kind of small also. But we both agreed they are worth giving a shot, and going back. Would definitely recommend.

I love the ambience of the restaurant. This is as my first experience here. I didn’t know everything was priced individually. So what I made of a meal was pretty pricey. I ordered the double shack burger, bacon cheese fries, with a strawberry lemonade. My food was delicious and the service was even better. A special shout out to Stephanie for answering all of my questions and being so pleasant. Highly recommended and will definitely revisit

We decided to get milkshakes at 10pm before we head home for the day. Other than Dairy Queen, this was the only place open for any type of ice cream. First time getting milk shakes here and it was quite good. Wait was not long. Restaurant was clean. But employees looked as if they worked a long shift. They were nice but could tell they were ready to go home. I would be too if I were in their shoes. Didn’t get any food, just enjoyed a tasty treat.

I got the avocado burger, a peppermint milkshake, and garlic parmassian fries the burger was absolutely delicious but maybe a little small. The milkshake was okay but I little sweet for my taste.
The fries were perfect though. They also gave my friend the wrong drink. Overall good but not worth the $80 for three people

Tried that Shake Shack Korean style chicken sandwich. It was half the size of the one in the ads. Basically paid $10 for a chicken tender on a small bun. A waste of money. Felt misled and left hungry. The nugget basket had more meat and costs less. Restaurant was 1/3 full and had to wait 15-17min for food. Disappointed.

My wife and I visited the Newport News location on Jan 13, 2025. The store was clean and the service was good. We ordered 2 burgers, 1 order fries, 1 small soft drink, and 1 small water. It took about 15 minutes to receive our order (dined in). The food was fresh, cooked well, the fries were excellent. The bill was $28.33. Although the taste of the food was excellent, the portion size was small.

I super cold so the food doesn’t hold the warmth. The burger was quite tasty tho. The drinks leave much to be desired- very weak. I ordered the 1/2 and 1/2 it had no flavor. Next time I’ll just get water

Not worth it at all. The staff are friendly, but that is where this place stops. The food is over priced, no combos, portions are small, and some customers are just nasty letting their kid who just sat and walked on the floor sit on the table top for the food. Yes, I’m talking about you with the toddler / young child. You are gross. No body wants to eat off a table your child’s diaper is touching.
As for the restaurant, the staff were nice and did a great job.
The food is over priced. You have much better options around the area. Regular ketchup packet in the picture for size comparison. This looks like it’d be five guys but it’s an over pressed super thin patty like they took the Wendy’s jr sandwich or McDonald’s burger patty and made the sandwich. You want a burger that is thin, go to Freddy’s. This was a joke of a sandwich. If I wanted a kids meal size, I would’ve ordered it.
All the special sauce is is ketchup and Mayo with some spice added to it.
The milkshake was thick but the chocolate sauce had a weird aftertaste. At first you think it’s Cadbury chocolate, but as it passes, it’s more like cheap dollar store chocolate.
I had been wondering why the VA Beach one was always empty, now I see why. This is a rich person’s McDonald’s.
It’s ok for dietary issues because you can customize.
