I am not sure if the employees here are only allowed one pair of gloves per shift, or if they simply only hire people with zero common sense, but its legitimately disgusting. Why even wear gloves at that point? They are taking cash and dipping their fingers right back into your food.
You get two stars because the food is actually fairly good, even if it does cost thirty dollars for a single combo.
I enjoyed a double SmokeShack Burger with bacon cheese fries and a strawberry shake. Avocado Bacon Chicken Sandwich was also good.
Food is very good and wait time is minimal. The staff was not rude but kept to themselves in the kitchen and didn’t acknowledge us when coming in or leaving.
I personally would prefer Habit Burger but nothing wrong with this restaurant.
Service was great and fast. Hudson was super friendly and made sure to check in with us regularly and that we had everything we needed. A little pricey but not too bad.
Now for the food: it was mostly excellent and was cooked fresh and quickly. The order came out in about 5 minutes, but that was probably because we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Sunday (probably because the banks were closed, and most dads couldn’t stop to take out a loan to feed their family here). Burgers were all tasty and juicy, although a bit smaller than expected. I had the Hot Chicken, and it was tender and juicy – with a nice level of spice. My wife had the ‘Shroom Burger and she liked it well enough, but said it was greasy. The family downed the bacon cheese fries – they were a hit, although the toppings disappeared with the top layer of fries. The milkshakes were really good!! We had a strawberry, a triple chocolate brownie, and Oreo funnel cake – all were exquisite. They were real milkshakes made with milk as compared to most places that serve ice cream in a cup and call it a milkshake. My Oreo was too sweet for me – the sweetness almost overpowered the savory milkshake flavor – they must use a high sugar content ice cream. The only other frustration is that they only have one size, which looks to be around 16 oz. and contains a whopping 1,080 calories! My whole family ended up throwing away half their shakes – too much is just too much. A smaller option (and smaller price!) would be nice. For the record, my meal alone weighed in at a scale tipping 2,500 calories! Oof!
Being a new restaurant, the environment was clean and attractive. The service was top notch, and they even purposely opened the door for us as we approached to come in. However, if I’m going to spend almost $20 per person, I’m not going to be back for fast food – I’ll take my family to a much nicer sit down restaurant.
