Just had to try out Shake Shack in Boston. We dine in at 4pm on a Saturday. About 3/4 of seating capacity were taken; but not too crowded. Cheese fries has too little cheese! Patty on Shack burgers were burnt around the edges. Trash bins were overflowing. And there were a few fruit flies buzzing around our food as we dine! Branch manager need better oversight on this branch.

I really like the shroom burgers here but every time I order something is wrong and it takes way longer than the estimated time frame for pickup. For fast food it’s pretty pricey and you may end up spending a lot of money for a completely wrong order if you don’t thoroughly check your bag. And even if you catch the issue the staff are very difficult to grab their attention and fix it. Which also just tacks on to the already typically long wait. They are often busy which is understandable, but they also aren’t the friendliest and politely asking for assistance is usually met with an off putting attitude. The food quality is really hit or miss too. It’s often cold (or melted since they seem to make the drinks and shakes before the “hot” food is done) or looks like someone stomped on it before it was put in your bag as you can see by the grilled cheese that was over $8 with an up charge for bacon that never made it onto the sandwich. My son was disappointed with it. My mushroom burger was somehow replaced with two sad cheeseburgers that also were very squished. Really unfortunate because I do like other shake shack locations and this is the one closest to me but it is often a very disappointing experience. For the money spent you’re better off walking over to the Yard House and getting a takeout burger.

First time at shake shack. This place was packed when we arrived. So we ordered on the app to avoid standing in long ordering lines. Then it told us our food wouldn’t be ready for 35 minutes. I asked the manager for help as I was very pregnant and starving. He gave us fries and a drink to tide us over, looked at our online order and started making our food right away. I had accidentally ordered the spicy nuggets for my young daughter and he immediately offered to swap them out for regular ones. Great service! The food was also fantastic. Will be back.

Great food, I’ve never had a problem with Shake Shack. I got the ShackBurger, fries, and the CherryLime drink (super goooood, will get it again). The only reason it’s not 5 stars is simply because the tables were unclean and it was a little difficult to manage with a small toddler. Other than that, the staff was friendly, the food was great, and the highchair for small kids was easy to locate.

Used the fast track for the first time. Feels a little unsafe since anyone can open the window and grab an order without confirming with a staff member, but I didn’t have any issues with my order, thankfully.
I tried the new Black Truffle ‘Shroom Burger ($10.49). I already love the ‘Shroom Burger, but the black truffle elevated the flavor to another dimension. So, so good. My only gripe is that the burger is tiny for what you’re paying.

Good evening. I am very dissatisfied with this establishment, especially with the staff. What is the point of taking a number for the table if my order was simply placed on the counter without anyone telling me? It stood there for 30 minutes until I came up myself and saw that it was already cold, and they handed me my order cold. The same thing happened to my girlfriend. Really excellent customer service during our visit. After seeing me standing around waiting for our order, the manager asked for my name, and then brought the order to our table for us! He made everyone in the dining room comfortable by checking in with every table, offering to grab anything we needed, clearing our trash, and giving stickers to all the kids. Food was hot and tasty. The whole place, including the restrooms, was very clean. Overall a great experience, even with 3 toddlers in tow!

Super inconsistent food. Sometimes the shroom in the burger is chewy and inedible. The shakes are good. Burgers are small and greasy and overpriced. I enjoy their experimental options, like the truffle burger.

Update: The last couple of times I have been there, Ive had to wait over 30 minutes to get my food…at a fast food joint…Its right next to the movie theater and it was my goto place for a quick bite before a movie. With that kind of wait, if I see a line, I wont be going in anymore.
For a long time I couldn’t decide if the best fast food burger was from shake shack or smash burgers. I saw far good because I don’t consider then like other testing burgers (or give guys style). 1 day I got from both to be able to decide on the spot, because I would always say the one im currently eating was the best. Smash is the best for me, but shake shack is so close to second that as I mentioned before I couldn’t decide. I like the crinkle cut fries as well. Fast service even if there is a full line. Max wait I’ve had from waiting on line to eating my burger was 20 minutes in case you are in a hurry for a movie. (prior to update of slow service)
Edit: 8/30/19. They just started using compo-stable plastic straws instead of paper ones and that for me deserves a sixth star.(prior to update of slow service)

We are regulars at the Shack and enjoy all the offerings they have. This location is always very clean and well organized. The frys were crispy and delicious. I highly recommend the chicken bites w cheese sauce. The manager even stopped by the table to say hi.
