Store front is organized and staffs are nice
For the price – it’s not worth it. It was 40 dollars for 2 burgers and 2 shakes.
The service was quick, the food hot and flavorful. There is no seating, so you have to go to a gate seating area and eat out of your lap. Bummer.
Otherwise, a good choice
I walked right back up to the counter and discussed how disrespectful this was and how their customer service was absolute garbage. Not only do I also work in the airport, but I’m in the aviation industry and sometimes food in the airport is the only way I eat, if I don’t pack my meals for trips. Also, as someone who has to deal with same customers on the airplane, I can understand and relate to customer
interactions being gruesome. The least you can do is have professionalism at your job with another employee in uniform. Clearly the staff doesn’t want to be here. I don’t really see any point of going back to the shake shack at the airport as everyone is completely miserable.
When my order was ready, there was a small mix up and I was given a Double Shack Burger instead of the Double SmokeShack I had ordered. However, it was fine because this burger was absolutely delicious – cooked to perfection and very juicy and flavorful. It may have been the best burger I’ve had from Shake Shack, even better than locations I’ve been to in DC, NYC, and Birmingham. The fries that came with it were also hot and crispy, with a great taste.
If you have time for a quick, tasty burger while in the Atlanta airport, I’d highly recommend stopping at this Shake Shack. It gets 4 out of 5 stars from me!
I had a connection in Atlanta and grabbed dinner for my family, along with a bottle of milk from the cooler for my 3-year-old daughter. She took one sip and refused to drink it. At first I thought she was just being picky, but after she kept insisting, I tried it myself. It was clearly bad.
I checked the expiration date and the milk was expired.
This is not a small mistake. Selling expired milk, especially in an airport and especially to families with young kids, is unacceptable. Thankfully my daughter barely drank any and she is fine, but this could have easily turned into a serious situation.
I brought this up to the store manager while my flight was already boarding. She offered a refund, but it did not actually happen on the spot. I had to call one or two more times after getting home to finally get the refund processed.
Yes, I got my money back, but that does not fix the real issue. Basic food safety should never be compromised. This location seriously needs to do better with inventory checks and quality control.
We ate around noon
What really surprised me was the loud and frequent profanity coming from the back area. It was very noticeable, and not something I’d expect in a family-friendly or professional setting—especially in a busy airport terminal. It made the wait even more uncomfortable.
When I finally asked for shake sauce, I was told, “We don’t have any,” and when I followed up by asking if any was on the burger, I was met with a dismissive and rude, “Did you hear what I said?” That level of attitude was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. As I walked away with my wife and child, I couldn’t help but feel judged by the glares and unpleasant looks from some of the staff.
The food was fine once we got it, but the overall atmosphere and service made this a very disappointing visit. Definitely not what we expected from a brand like Shake Shack.
