Not bad. Prices are more justifiable than getting a turkey sandwich at the airport. $12.41 w tax for a single bacon avocado burger. Not bad. Bacon needs to be cook longer to make it crispy.
Store front is organized and staffs are nice

I’ve had Shake shack at other locations and it’s always so good but this one was so disappointing. The tomato was half of the size it should be and the lettuce was so wilted I had to take it off. The second burger had half a piece of bacon and the bun wasn’t even placed on the whole way.
For the price – it’s not worth it. It was 40 dollars for 2 burgers and 2 shakes.

Really good burgers and crinkle fries. Dark lettuce wrap, not iceberg. Gluten free buns available, and can prepare separately from other meals if you claim allergy. Burgers are greasy but tasty, so have extra napkins ready.

When travelling, it’s not always easy to get tasty , fast food… When you really do need it fast, when trying to make a connection in a busy airport.
The service was quick, the food hot and flavorful. There is no seating, so you have to go to a gate seating area and eat out of your lap. Bummer.
Otherwise, a good choice

I approached the counter only to be met by three employees who stated individually “I don’t work the register”. One of the women behind the counter finally approached the register and asked me what my name was. I replied and stated what I would like to eat from the menu. After she tells me the total, I pull out my cash and she tells me “card only”. There are no signs to indicate that Shake Shack is a card only establishment. I simply said “OK” and started to put my money away. The cashier responded by saying “Seeee ya”.

I walked right back up to the counter and discussed how disrespectful this was and how their customer service was absolute garbage. Not only do I also work in the airport, but I’m in the aviation industry and sometimes food in the airport is the only way I eat, if I don’t pack my meals for trips. Also, as someone who has to deal with same customers on the airplane, I can understand and relate to customer
interactions being gruesome. The least you can do is have professionalism at your job with another employee in uniform. Clearly the staff doesn’t want to be here. I don’t really see any point of going back to the shake shack at the airport as everyone is completely miserable.

The line was medium to long when I visited the Shake Shack in Terminal A, but the service was quick and the wait wasn’t bad. They were definitely busy, which is always a good sign for an airport restaurant.

When my order was ready, there was a small mix up and I was given a Double Shack Burger instead of the Double SmokeShack I had ordered. However, it was fine because this burger was absolutely delicious – cooked to perfection and very juicy and flavorful. It may have been the best burger I’ve had from Shake Shack, even better than locations I’ve been to in DC, NYC, and Birmingham. The fries that came with it were also hot and crispy, with a great taste.

If you have time for a quick, tasty burger while in the Atlanta airport, I’d highly recommend stopping at this Shake Shack. It gets 4 out of 5 stars from me!

Very disappointing experience at the ATL airport Shake Shack.

I had a connection in Atlanta and grabbed dinner for my family, along with a bottle of milk from the cooler for my 3-year-old daughter. She took one sip and refused to drink it. At first I thought she was just being picky, but after she kept insisting, I tried it myself. It was clearly bad.

I checked the expiration date and the milk was expired.

This is not a small mistake. Selling expired milk, especially in an airport and especially to families with young kids, is unacceptable. Thankfully my daughter barely drank any and she is fine, but this could have easily turned into a serious situation.

I brought this up to the store manager while my flight was already boarding. She offered a refund, but it did not actually happen on the spot. I had to call one or two more times after getting home to finally get the refund processed.

Yes, I got my money back, but that does not fix the real issue. Basic food safety should never be compromised. This location seriously needs to do better with inventory checks and quality control.

Happy staff making excellent food. You’ll be happy before your flight! Just use the kiosk pad to order. It was worth the airport price ~$50 for 2 burgers with sides and fountain drink. Made to order. Only about 5 min. They did refill drinks for me as a courtesy.

We ate around noon

The service was amazing to watch. The employees were arguing with each other in front of about 20 customers. They couldn’t get the orders straight at all. It took almost 30 mins to get my order and after all of that my order incorrect. Ugh !! The burger was ok but the staff needs serious attention

We were really looking forward to grabbing a quick bite at Shake Shack in Terminal A, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Despite having a large group of employees behind the counter, only a few seemed to be actively preparing food, while the others were gathered in the back talking. This resulted in a long wait of over 20 minutes for our order, even though the line wasn’t that long.

What really surprised me was the loud and frequent profanity coming from the back area. It was very noticeable, and not something I’d expect in a family-friendly or professional setting—especially in a busy airport terminal. It made the wait even more uncomfortable.

When I finally asked for shake sauce, I was told, “We don’t have any,” and when I followed up by asking if any was on the burger, I was met with a dismissive and rude, “Did you hear what I said?” That level of attitude was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. As I walked away with my wife and child, I couldn’t help but feel judged by the glares and unpleasant looks from some of the staff.

The food was fine once we got it, but the overall atmosphere and service made this a very disappointing visit. Definitely not what we expected from a brand like Shake Shack.
