Queso was great, salsa very good. The shrimp bowl was delicious. The chicken wings were not so good. They also tasted very old and reheated.

We came here to listen to The School of Rock play! We had a fantastic time. The music was great. I love how they have things set up here. Indoor & outdoor seating, they had an upper deck with an outdoor bar, play area for the kids, corn hole set up & a few other games. We will definitely be back. The food was delicious & made fresh. I recommend that you check it out. I wish they had one in Leland. Bathrooms were clean & plenty of parking as well.

Went to their Top Sail location a few years ago and happy to see one in Hampstead. Everything was clean, and the person at the front was very friendly.
All the food tasted fresh and delicious. The wings, soooo good and cooked just right. They were saucy and finger licking good.
The tacos a good size and the nachos are so much food. I actually was thinking how much I wanted to get the nachos the night before.
When visiting family in the area, this is the place I look forward to eating at. This location was very nice with the outdoor eating area and turf. We didn’t have a dog with us, but another party did, so dog friendly too!!!

This place is huge, has live music, the fall flavored mixed drink was superb (I need to get the recipe), and the tuna nachos are always on point. You can order food from your table via qr code, and get items for the nachos on the side so everyone can enjoy their own toppings. I wish there were a few more shady spots, but love that dogs and kids are welcome. There were football games on tvs in one section, a birthday party in another, people out playing corn hole, and everyone still had their own space.

So grateful to have Shaka Taco’s newest location open in Hampstead at Ironclad Golf. If you’re familiar with their Surf City location, you can expect the same vibes, courteous staff and incredihble menu as their island location — with the added bonus of tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Stopped by on a rainy Sunday and was able to save time driving to the island, enjoyed my favorite veggie tacos – and got one of the first glimpses of this new location. Extremely clean, fast and delicious!

Stopped at this Shaka Taco today. I was the only person in the place. The guy who rang me up was super friendly, talkative but not overly talkative for me, gave great recs. My shrimp taco–phenomenal, per usual–the crispy onions or whatever they are are , my carne asada taco was delicious. The recommended queso was hot, and perfect. I was gonna eat in my car in the rain then decided the music was also at such a great volume and good vibes so I ate inside. It was a 10/10 peaceful experience.
This is for anyone who doesn’t like to/gets anxiety going out alone.
