I had the super flu last week which knocked my taste buds out and gave me plenty of time to salivate over what I was going to try here in town once I started feeling better. Finally, this week I am back on the mend and I told my family we had to try Shah Kabob House because the photos and reviews looked to good to pass up. The reviews did not disappoint at all! Everything we had was fresh, flavorful and phenomenal from start to finish. The naan and garlic whip hummus plate were so good we had two! We also had the steak, spicy chicken and gyro plates all of which were so tender and juicy. The rice was on point and is something I find hard for a lot of places to get right, but Shah has got it!! The service was so welcoming and warm. We sat in a corner booth and watched as customer after customer came in were consistently greeted by the staff like they were old friends, neighborhoods, or even family. It’s clear that this place is so much more than just a restaurant, it’s a gathering house for community, togetherness, sharing culture and honoring military service. We will without a doubt be back and next time we will wear our stretchy pants! Lol.

Food was so good, my kid said we should give it 6 stars! Everything was delicious and incredible, warm flavors on a cold day – perfect sauces to accompany everything. Ordered A5 hummus with garlic whip and naan, K12 chicken shawarma & K8 lamb, chicken, ground beef, so it felt like the family got a little bit of everything. We couldn’t finish it all. The eggplant appetizer looks incredible but we didn’t get to try it this time. I especially loved the garbanzo beans.
The kids were falling asleep so we didn’t have much time to eat, but if I could have I would have asked for some more spice. If you’re thinking of going, you should!! It’s so good.

The food here is Amazing. The chicken was spiced well and not over cooked. The lamb and beef were excellent. The chicken shawarma was the best I’ve had. And the potato smabosa is the star of the show. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I had the BEST lunch at Shah’s! The food was generous in size and every bite was full of flavor!! I enjoyed the K8 and it has a little bit of everything (my personal fave)! Chicken, lamb and beef was moist and A-MAZING!! I also couldn’t get enough of their yummy hot sauce! Everyone who worked there was respectful and had a smile. I look forward to coming back with friends 🙂

I love the food here. I have tried most of the items on their menu and all of their grilled meats are absolutely delicious. The aromatic seasonings and spices on the meats are very unique. The Shah Kabob Combo is a great way to get a taste of three different meats. The spicy chicken can be a little too spicy for some, so be aware. The chickpea curry has delicious flavor and is great to dip your naan bread in. The rice is pretty standard. The salad is refreshing and I enjoy both the white and green sauce. The Gyro meat is AMAZING!! It is the best I have every tasted and my family loves it!! I spent a year in Kandahar and shared local cuisine with Afghani people that I knew while there. I am so happy to be able to taste those flavors again. I would love to see Kabuli Pulao on the menu one day.
I highly recommend Shah Kabob House to all who would like to try Afghanistan food.

Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. The falafel is so crunchy and flavorful; everything was flavorful and delicious. I thought our meal was reasonably priced and it was a good portion of food for two people. Definitely coming back to this spot

The food here is absolutely delicious! We ordered the Wattani Kabob and the Shami Wrap Kabob, and both were fantastic. The Naan bread is a must-try and honestly the best I’ve had anywhere in the U.S.
They also serve tea and a selection of pastries. We tried the cream rolls, and they were wonderful. The staff, including the owner, were very welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic flavors and great hospitality.

Our first experience at Shah’s was amazing. We just moved here and wanted something quick. Saw the reviews and gave it a try. I got the shawarma wrap and my wife got the steak wrap. Both amazing. Very authentic and well executed. The baklava was amazing too. Will be back. Highly recommend!

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The food is authentic and always delicious. The lamb is tender, and seasoned perfectly! The owner is a former afghan special forces who worked alongside the US Army. I have been a repeat customer and my whole family loves this place. My 4 year olds love the rice, the chicken and lamb as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
