Great place with amazing seafood! The appetizer Seafood Fries was a huge portion, topped with shrimp and served with a delicious sauce. One of the highlights was the Crab Stuffed Flounder — absolutely outstanding. We also tried the Captain’s Seafood Platter with shrimp, fish, and fillet — everything was fresh and flavorful. Food was great! We had the mahi tacos & the shrimp po boy. Both were huge portions! We also had the chicken sausage gumbo, which was delicious. There was a bus load of basketball players that arrived before us so we were a little nervous about how quickly we would be served, but it was no problem at all. They had our food out in no time. We sat outside on the patio and watched the ocean! We will definitely visit again and would highly recommend this place.

Jaylon was an amazing server. She was one of the best we have ever had. She was extremely attentive and efficient. The food was fresh and came out fast. The Unicorn Fish Pl Boy and oysters were excellent. My kids also LOVED the stuffed avacado app. We also enjoyed watching the boats on the marina. Just beautiful!

We were in Pensacola for lunch and, based on good reviews, decided to try Shaggy’s. It took about 15-20 minutes to get a table and be seated.
Our server Zoey greeted us with the menus. We ordered Coke and Water without ice for drinks. After reviewing the menu, we ordered the Coconut Shrimp Platter, a side of Mac and cheese with lobster, Sauteed Crab Claws, Chicken Wings, and a Chicken Sandwich.
Our lunch order came out quickly, in about 10-15 minutes. We both really enjoyed the Sauteed Crab Claws. It was our first time trying crab claws, and we enjoyed them. Our toddler, too, thoroughly enjoyed his Mac and Cheese with lobster, making it a great lunch option for him.
We also enjoyed the other lunch options, and it was a great spot for lunch with beach views.

Food was excellent! We shared a captains platter and side of street corn and potato bites! Delicious! I purchased the book and even got the bushwhacker pie complimentary! Our server was great with suggestions! However we had to for our water and soda 3 times! Overall great experience

Shaggy’s did not disappoint. The fried green tomatoes were the star of the table — thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned, and fried to a golden crisp that gave way to a tender, slightly tangy bite inside. The crunch-to-soft ratio was spot on, and every bite was full of flavor, not greasy at all. You can tell they were cooked fresh and with care.
If you love classic Southern flavors done right, these fried green tomatoes are an absolute must-order. I’d come back for these alone — that’s how good they were.

With this review I’d like to first preface that we brought our catch in to be cooked. We choose this restaurant because of the glowing reviews. With the cook your catch deal it’s 12 something per pound for the fish and that comes with hush puppies and fries. We choose blackened and fried. Both tasted good but there were a ton of scales and bones in the fish. After the fact we found out that they literally just cook it as is. Guess they don’t bother rinsing the filets or anything. The bones I get but scales… So if you bring your fish in make sure it is absolutely ready to cook as is.
Our server was nice and pleasant and the other food was good. Our gator bites tasted fresh and the royal red shrimp were very good. The portions of fries and hush puppies with our meal was huge! I’d like to go back and bring ready to cook fish or just try their fish on the menu. The scales really turned many of us the fish.
The staff informed us if we download the owners book off Amazon for $2 we would get an appetizer or dessert for free.

We enjoyed the food and drinks here! We got something called Beachballs which is mash potatoes in a ball with breading. Really good! The coconut shrimp was so huge you could split it with 2 people. We enjoyed the atmosphere and our server Jaylon was excellent!

We’ve been multiple times in our stay at Pensacola beach. Each time we have a lovely experience. We started with the crab-stuffed flounder but soon became permanent lovers of the unicorn fish. Either way is great, grilled or po boy. My personal favorite and in my opinion the most unique drink is the Tie Dye margarita (pictured). They’re pet friendly if you don’t mind sitting on the deck, and they have a puppy menu.
