The ribs were very good and so was the pulled pork. It is definitely worth trying. I couldn’t give five stars because the best part of the meal was the onion rings and hot sauce. The onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had and the hot BBQ sauce was not to spicy to drowned out the flavor and it had a sweet kick at the end. The building was old and a little to dated for me but otherwise a nice place to eat. Would recommend if your in town.

Had dinner at The Shack on Stemley Bridge Road last night. What a great little place! Had the Shack Stack! A large portion of fries topped with smoked pulled pork and shredded cheese! It was great! Was very hot when it was served and there was regular and hot BBQ sauce on the table to use as a topper! Had unsweetened tea for a drink and it tasted fresh brewed. All in all it was a great meal for under $13.00. Will def go back and try some other things!

Absolutely delicious BBQ, their portions are incredibly generous and the price is right! The bbq is cooked to perfection and tender. We stopped by on the way back home on a whim and I’m so glad we did. Everyone working there is friendly and the woman working gave us extra hot bbq sauce without charge. The regular pork bbq sandwich is packed full of meat and has the perfect amount of sauce (plus pickles, of course). The kids’ hot dogs are both juicy and tender, I was a little disappointed I didn’t order one for myself if you’re in the area, it’s worth the stop, and if you’re not… it’s worth the drive.

This place is great. Truly lives up to its name but is some of the best barbecue in the area. I had the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans and onion rings. The onion rings are beer-battered and always fried exceptionally with a great taste. The baked beans are definitely savory with a slight sweetness to them. The sandwich is the crown jewel. It was quality meat piled high with a nice amount of barbecue sauce and enough pickles to add the crunch and tanginess. This was a great meal and I would not recommend getting this and going back to work cause you very well might be caught sleeping if you do.

I am hard to please when it comes to BBQ. The chopped pork sandwich was very meaty and had a wonderful smoked taste. I like a finer cut slaw but the taste was good. The beans were good as well. I washed my hands and found the restroom to be basic but clean. The building is an old log style building and is full of local character, such as football, racing and music items. For a low ceiling, it was very quiet. The staff were very attentive and offered a to-go drink. The price was about what you would expect. With tip, 2 can eat for about $26-$27. I highly recommend you give them a try. (They have a caboose too.)

The meat was moist and smoky. The sauces were flavorful. However the hot sauce was not hot in my opinion, but it was tasty. The baked beans tasted like they were from a can and the dinner rolls were store bought. The cole slaw was rather bland. The service was quite friendly. If the beans, bread and cole slaw were better, this place would get 4 stars from me.

It was a little old school and looked as you would imagine. Since it was on the out skirt of the town. So it seemed a little run down. Which isn’t a problem because the service and food made you forget about it. My wife got the rib plate and I got the pulled pork sandwich. Both were very good and we didn’t leave hungry. I recommend this restaurant and I will be a return customer.
