A lakeside place with a great sunset view. After a day on lake this has quite a few tasty items. I had the chicken tenders that were made from scratch. They were very good and a good portion of food. Cucumber salad had a good flavor. Corn and jalapeño side…corn tasted like it came from a can. I thought the chicken was delish! The other order was crab cakes. They were good but looked like they were premade. Other things to try….Texas pasta….can get with chicken or shrimp. Coconut shrimp…a favorite! This is an outdoor restaurant but they have fans to keep you cool. Beautiful sunsets!!!!

The view is amazing! If you bring your dog, they’ll put out a water bowl for them! The burgers are good but on the smaller side. The definitely suggest ordering a burger here. The steak kabobs were good but not great.

It was ok for a meal after a day on the lake appraisers we’re better than my actual meal. The ribs were way too spicy for my taste buds. The hot wings were better than the ribs not as spicy. The salmon was tough and had a nice flavor though.

This is a recommendation from a friend and we went on Memorial Day. No waiting, and very prompt service. Loved the food.
There’s a small hike (a set of stone stairs) to reach the restaurant which adds to the charm. You can drive to the restaurant, but parking is on the side of the road and very few. The hike seemed to be a better option.
We ordered the coconut battered shrimp, 3’s company, Mac and cheese kids meal and the Lakeside s’mores. Everything was yummy!
The view is amazing, without the crazy crowd you see in Oasis or Ski shores cafe. The only thing I would mention is there were not much options for vegetarians/vegans.

I would come here just for the spicy fried green beans. Nice happy hour (good margaritas). Very relaxing environment (outdoor but covered). Not as impressive a view as the Oasis on Lake Travis, but the food quality here is eons better. A steep rocky descent walking from the parking lot to the restaurant might make this a poor choice for people who are challenged with their mobility.

Amazing restaurant on lake Travis. Even though the restaurant has a more laid back feel, it still had top shelf service and great food. The whole restaurant opens up directly onto lake and is next to a Mariner if you are arriving by boat. Compared to other restaurants on the lake, this one does not feel over crowded and rushed.

We had a mini family vacay in Volente, this lake side restaurant came recommended by a few friends.
It was a really warm evening but they had misters and fans blowing on the patio which made it very comfortable. They were pretty busy but our waiter was on top of things for us. Great service great location with beautiful lake views and delicious food!
We had a variety of items and everything was surprisingly really good. The only item that was just okay was the steak kabobs the meat was a little tough.
We will definitely be back during our next lake trip!

This restaurant is an amazing place to eat. It’s right on the water and the views and atmosphere are wonderful. The staff is beyond nice and made the experience even that much more enjoyable. There are so many items on the menu that are delicious I would recommend trying each and everyone. If you’re in the area it’s a definite must do!

Great atmosphere on the lake right next to Sandy Creek..good food, great atmosphere..awesome vibes! People pulling up in their boats. Saw the advertisement on Facebook for Shack 512…no disappointment here! Look at the pics…great time all around and got some merch to bring home!

The drive out is nice, but the road is very winding. Parking is at a premium here as well, so be prepared for a steep walk.
Nothing jumped out at me on the menu, so I went with a burger. I had a Sunset BBQ burger and fries, and they were good. I also had a Jalapeño Peach Mule. It was nice and cold, and tasted good, though you definitely tasted the jalapeño. My wife had the Meza’s Camerones. She was warned that they were spicy, and they were. She ended up rinsing them in her water to cool them down a bit.
The service was good, and lake view was very nice. The restrooms were clean.
We enjoyed our time there and certainly come back.
