Did not know this shop, until several weeks ago. Finally had a free evening with my lovely lady and decided we would have Shabu Shabu for dinner. Called and made a early evening reservation. Location was out of the way off West Horizon Ridge Road and S Valle Verde Dr. Discovered the shop was a in a poorly lighted business center. Wow, this is a place you want to find, to enjoy the modern decor, delight of staff, and best of all a great meal.

Does not matter where this Shabu Shabu Shop is located, it is well worth the exploration it might take to locate. We both ordered a Queen size meat order, it was mixed beef and pork sliced properly for Shabu Shabu. The vegetable were in the pot and I cooked the meat with a few swishes, lovely meal to enjoy. I had several refills of vegetables, but the one meat order was enough for me. My lady ordered the same meat size and the one vegetable order was sufficient.

The cost of $25 per person was very reasonable price for our lovely evening, we could have splurged and ordered Wagyu Beef and spent $64 per plate, it was not a holiday or special dinner celebration.

This shop will be added to our monthly dinning choices as we both enjoyed the meal in this small intimate venue.

A cozy place serving Japanese cuisine by Japanese and it’s so wonderful to be at their service. We ordered sukiyaki from a lunch special and were not disappointed. Everything was very fresh and different sauces can please everyone’s palette. Definitely coming back.

We live nearby and have always seen the bright sign that says Shabu Shabu, so we thought we’d give it a try.

First the good things…the food is really fresh, and is of very high quality. When the food came out, you could tell how fresh the vegetables, meat and seafood is. At first glance, you might think that the portions should be larger, but with the all you can eat vegetables, salad and rice, the meal was more than sufficient. Service was also good as the waitress came around and always checked in with us.

Now for the things to think about…when you walk in, the waitress asks if you have a reservation. There’s not a ton of seating…maybe enough for 20 to 24 ppl. There’s reserved signs on all the tables but while we were there, a lot of the tables were unused. Huh? Not sure why they turn away walk ins as they could’ve easily accommodate they few ppl that walked in. This was the strangest part of their restaurant. Also, if you are looking to fill up on the protein dishes, you might be disappointed unless you order additional plates. An AYCE elsewhere may suit you better if you want more protein.

Would I come back? Probably not. Food was good but there were strange things about the restaurant that would make me choose somewhere else.

Quality meat and seafood you cook up in a pot of boiling water. A short dip in the sauce and it is SO delicious!
AYCE rice, veggies, and green salad come with your protein order and round out the meal.
Lastly, a small scoop of vanilla with optional topping.
Super good and a fun experience if you’ve never tried shabu-shabu before. Just be ready to cook!

First time ever doing a hot pot. Came in for lunch right when they opened. We werent planning on eating here at first, we were going to eat at a place next door. SO GLAD WE ATE HERE!!!! The food was great and reasonably priced. They had a high chair for our 1.5yr old. They give you unlimited veggies. They even brought out extra rice for our daughter. The staff was just so great. I highly recommend giving them a try.

So I forgot to take a picture of the whole set up, but honestly this is a perfect hole in the wall. Loved the service, food was on point, also they have a good variety of beer. Simple home style food that makes you want more!!

Shabu Shabu Paradise is a classic, traditional Shabu Shabu restaurant – the way it’s done in Japan. Don’t come expecting AYCE, or flavored broths—it’s plain boiling water and meat/veggies. The meat is consistently good — lean but tender, and portions are decent. The veggie platter could be heftier but you can ask for more of those. The shrimp salad with wasabi miso is my kind of appetizer — delicious, but tiny — but only $4.

This place for sure hit the spot. I should have taken a photo of the meat and shrimp. But it was too good to be true. I would come back for sure, it was enough food!
