Until today’s experience. Which was not called for the owner’s rude behavior. I only asked him not to eat while serving my food and when I didn’t want the food…He flipped.
I ordered 2 burgers and 1 shrimp combo with a single piece of fish my total came to $30 I paid and he said okay its good. So still standing there he repeated himself as if to signal for me to sit down and wait for my food. So I asked for my receipt since it was obvious he was not going to offer it. Red flag!! Then his tone changed and he asked me did I need my receipt I stated yes I’m big on receipts that’s when he informed me that he rung up my items wrong! I was taken aback because had I not asked for my receipt he would not have mentioned it period. I was over charged for one of the burgers and he added on 2 coleslaw’s which I had not even asked for because nobody in my household eats coleslaw. It seemed to annoy him that I felt away over his mistake I kept it simple i said instead of giving me the almost $9 dollar refund I’ll take more shrimp and a piece of fish. With all the food purchased I was only given one tarter sauce.
The burgers: very sloppily put together not cooked as well as We would have liked for them to be so thick the cheese wasn’t melted well the buns were soggy.
The shrimps: seem to be some type of imitation shrimp from the frozen department of a grocery store to paint a picture very odd tasting and over fried.
The fish: seasoned well but tasted old as did the punch if that makes since my self or my husband couldn’t eat the fries they we’re not cooked well or my have been old not sure they we’re stiff.
Very disappointed with the food after paying so much the quality definitely isn’t restaurant grade cooking or maybe the cook was having a off day. I had to drink two ginger ale’s about a hour later My stomach felt so weird.
I never judge a book by the cover but when i saw mold on the ceiling I should have ran expeditiously shame on me.
FOOD: Fish was good, wasn’t as seasoned..but I can understand why it wouldnt be. I did eat that.
Hush puppies were greasy. Bit into 1 and you could see it inside. The center of the hush puppy was grease- free. Threw that one and the rest away.
Tastewise, it was sweet almost ” jiffy corn bread-like”. Bottom line, I gave SHABAZZ 3 stars because fish was perfectly cooked, NOT greasy.
However, WON’T patronize them again.
