Truly a mom and pop operation – We have been a part of Oakdale and the surrounding community since the early 90s. Originally called Greenstreets, we changed to the Sgt. Peppers name in 1996. In 2003, we had outgrown our Century Ave location and moved a couple miles up the road to our current spot on Helena Ave N. We pride ourselves on ACTUALLY being a neighborhood bar and grille where everyone is welcome. Hope to see you soon!
Down-to-earth establishment featuring classic American dishes & cocktails, plus outdoor seating.

We were the second table of customers in our section and ordered soon after we were seated. We ordered potato skins and a small cup of chili for our appetizers. We got the kids Mac n cheese, and a cheese burger from the kids menu. I ordered a simple salad with no meat/protein, and my wife ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. Quickly after, the room filled up with customers. We received our appetizers then never heard from our waitress again.
We watched everyone else that came after us receive their food and get checked on but never once did our waitress check on us or refill our waters. We were annoyed by this point because the service was horrible. We couldn’t find our waitress so when a different waitress walked past us, we asked her to get us our check because we just wanted to leave.
She went to grab our check and when she returned, instead of apologizing to us, she informed us it had “only been 20 mins” since we ordered. I pointed out that everyone else got their food first even though they came after us, and she tried to excuse it claiming it was because they ordered grilled dishes. WE LITERALLY GOT A KIDS CHEESE BURGER, KIDS MAC N CHEESE, A FRICKEN SALAD AND A WRAP. No apology from her still whatsoever. It was as if we were an inconvenience to them.
Our waitress came back to grab our payment, never once apologized for the inconvenience either. How pathetic and unprofessional. Thank goodness we left when we did. Would never return even if you paid me to.
This place is always a pleasure and never disappoints! Drinks are great for the price and food is fairly priced.
Chicken Strips had great potential but there was way too much breading and not enough chicken, C+ for my score.
Was told the burger was good, fish the same!
There is a large bar section and a couple dinning sections. Definitely lots of locals and return customers on both sides, but especially on the bar side. The dinning side is typically an older crowd coming out for a home style dinner.
Our waiter was great. Super friendly with great customer service.
I had the Gyro with fries which was pretty good. Not exactly a truly authentic gyro, but close enough for my needs at the time.
My wife had the Red Bell Pepper Penne, which was great. The exterior of the chicken was a bit tough, but the inside was juicy. The pasta and sauce was really good though.
Overall, a good place to visit for a dive bar restaurant feel with good home made style food.
We had a group of six and all ordered different items. Our group loved the onion rings – they were crispy and had a good batter. We also loved the Honey BBQ wings. The Pretzella Burger was above average. The Pulled Pork Quesadilla was full of flavor, but it’s very heavy. The Fettuccini Alfredo, Frisco Burger, and Sante Fe Sandwich were all okay but nothing special. We also split a chocolate cake for a group member’s birthday; it was a little dry.
The highlight of our experience, however, was our server, Lauren. She was very kind, friendly, and helpful with recommendations.
