If you’re starving for korean food, you must come to this place. This place will be my go to korean restaurant for sure.
I recommend ordering tofu soup with a spicy (level 4) for spice lover, like me. However the real kick is the rice. You MUST scrape the rice out to a separate bowl and pour warm water there. Rest that for a while and enjoy at the end of the meal. That rice soup will be a good dessert to finish the meal.
Forgot the mention the important part, the workers were so friendly and the store was clean! Though if you visit at peak time like 12pm you might have to wait a little bit!
Overall, I would love to re-visit!

Great food lots of banchan to go with you meal. They also bring out hot tea right away which was awesome. The service was fast and helpful. I would definitely go again

Definitely the best Korean food in the Chicago area!! The food and service were great. We ordered the galbi, seafood pancake, soondubu, and bibimbap. Galbi was very very good, tender and flavorful. Seafood pancake was crispy and batter tasted high quality. Soondubu good as always, better than BCD.

Absolutely solid! You’ll always get in quick and get served quickly. This restaurant was super accommodating of my allergies and made it really easy. I had the seafood soondubu which came out bubbling hot, with shrimp and baby clams! I wish there was more seafood but the flavor was great. Served with banchan, a big bowl of short grain white rice, and barley tea. My friend got the ramen soondubu combo and loved it. Quick, easy, satisfying, and comforting

I love SGD in general. Though some franchise locations lack consistency. I love the Schaumburg location because their food and service is very consistent. I have not once had a negative experience there. Their new dishes Teokbokki and Porkbelly tofu kimchy were very very good. Best korean food I have found so far in the area. Keep it up!

Great place. Food is top notch and service is great. Not a big menu but everything is great tasting. It is a bit cheaper than most Korean restaurants and better tasting than many. They do close for lunch at 245pm, keep that in mind.

as a Korean, I can say this is very authentic. It’s clever to make it very fast by effective order/cooking system. I recommend Sun tofu soup (beef or pork) with rice.
As of Korean culture, they provide Banchan (side dish), and I can say they are pretty good as well!
This restaurant is especially very clean, not loud, and provides good service (staffs are so kind!). Therefore, I think it seems good for family, friends, and even business meetings.
Once you order, the food will come out in only about 10 minutes.

Updated: another wonderful dinner with beef bulgogi w/steamed rice. Beef kimchi ramen and beef tofu ramen.
Friendly staffs, Cozy and comfortable restaurant for family, couples, groups. Hot tea and water were offered once we seated Refreshing banchan were offered before our foods arrived, it doesn’t take long for our foods arrive. Crispy fried dumplings were good. Beef Raman noodles were not over cooked, The broth flavor was mild, but good. Beef bugogi was flavorful with rice on the side. Kimchee soup comes with noodles on the bottom side hot stone steamed rice along with the order. We all enjoyed our dishes. We get there right when they open. The place fills up quickly. Highly recommended.
