Sfoglina (sfoal-yee-nah) is Fabio Trabocchi’s ode to the Italian Dolce Vita and the craft of handmade pasta. It is inspired by the female masters of Italy, that are today cultural icons, who carried on the tradition and the art of making pasta by hand. The craft is showcased daily in our pasta rooms. Sfoglina serves light and seasonal salads, appetizers, meat and seafood entrees that can be shared, and authentic, family-favorite Italian desserts. Our charming venues feature a whimsical design and timeless Italian cocktails, approachable Italian wines, and comfy patios for al fresco dining.
Chef Trabocchi’s housemade pastas, hearty mains & soft serve gelato offered in Italian villa digs.

Natalia was our waitress and she was great. She was very friendly and service as usual was spot on. I opted for a la carte and got our usual Grilled Spiced Wild Calamari – still delicious and the Pappardelle. This is one of my favorite dishes here. Most of the pasta dishes here are really good, so you can’t go wrong with any of those selections.
For the special Valentine’s Day menu, the Beef Tartare & Smoked Bone Marrow and the Roasted Lobster Fra Diavolo was definitely the highlight of the evening. The beef tartare was sitting on top of the bone marrow, and they served a really large piece of bone marrow! The Roasted Lobster Fra Diavolo needs to be on the regular menu- it was that good. The lobster tasted like it was cooked sous-vide because it was so light and tender. This dish also came with Key West Shrimp. The Squid Ink Tagliatelle pasta was al dente – just perfect.
There is a parking garage underneath the building. They do provide parking validation.
She was patient, knowledgeable, professional and courteous.
We had a complicated group ( 10 PAX from 8 y.o. to 94 y.o) and she navigated the whole chaos like a swan.
The place is nice, but somewhat too “white” in the decor, JMHO and to each his own.
Food was good, but pasta was a let down because we all expected our pasta to be served ” al dente” and we didn’t get that.
Next time we’ll make sure to specify that.
Prawns were excellent just grilled in butter and black pepper. Quality food needs no “rubs” nor sauces.
Do NOT miss the Gianduja cake. It was truly the star of the show. I had to fight fiercely to keep my portion safe, and I wasn’t that successful
And, coffee was very nice. Not overly roasted and just “au point”.
The atmosphere really stands out, it’s beautiful, quiet, and has this charming old-school Italian decor that makes you feel right at home. Seating is comfortable and cozy, though I will say parking can be a bit tricky, so plan a little extra time for that. Overall, it’s a delightful spot for a family dinner or a special night out.
The food was excellent as always—delicious, well-prepared, and consistently great. We had a really lovely time and left very happy. Definitely one of our favorite spots, and we look forward to coming back.
We ordered the octopus and Caesar salad as starters. The octopus was incredibly flavorful with a hint of spice, but slightly overcooked. The Caesar salad was good, but nothing stand-out.
My 72- Hour Braised Beef Short Rib was delicious- perfectly tender meat with a flavorful and satisfying sauce. Dessert was the standout of the meal – a strawberry sorbet that rivals any sorbet I’ve had in Italy. I appreciate that the restaurant was careful to prepare food safe for my gluten allergy (Celiac).
In terms of parking, there is a parking garage adjacent to the restaurant, and the restaurant does validate parking.
Overall, I recommend Sfoglina for an upscale dinner or lunch with friends!
