Our wedding day was truly perfect thanks to the staff at SQ. The day went so smoothly and my husband and I were able to enjoy the entire day without any stress… a literal dream! Our guests could not stop talking about the venue, the food, the drinks, ALL of it! I highly recommend SQ for your wedding, special event or even just a date night out!
As soon as we toured the sewickley quarter we knew it was the venue for us – in fact we canceled all of our other venue tours as soon as we left! From the all in one package, the romantic atmosphere and how detail oriented Hannah was. It was the perfect venue for us.
We had a smaller 70 person wedding and it was truly out of a fairytale. Hannah helped every single vision of ours comes to life! From draping the entire tent to changing up the entire menu after we had our tasting! We decided to go completely off script from our food tasting and create our own menu. We really wanted steakhouse vibes and wow did Chef Erika deliver!! Every single guest was raving about the food!! How does a kitchen cook over 50 filets to exact perfection?! I mean.. every single filet was perfect!
Being able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and after party all at one venue was one of our favorite parts! The entire day flowed so seamlessly!
Thank you Hannah and the entire team for providing us the most romantic and best day of our life! We can’t wait to come back to the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary!
The day of the wedding could not have been better. I didn’t even have time to think of any potential issues or concerns because everything was taken care of. Having everything in one location was a game-changer and helped us to never feel rushed. Months later, people are still commenting about how amazing the food and service were. Each person that I or our family interacted with went above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back for date nights!
One of my favorite details was the black-and-white dance floor – it brought everyone together in one space and made for such a fun and elegant reception/dance floor.
I can’t say enough about working with Hannah! She was incredible – so responsive, attentive to details and made the entire wedding planning process feel easy and stress-free. She truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and it showed!
If I could do it all over again tomorrow, I would 100% choose this venue again. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a beautiful space, amazing staff and an unforgettable experience!
We started off with truffle fries and a side salad. Fairly standard fare, the aioli was nice but a bit heavy on the mayo side. The fries were almost a mix of fresh cut and beer battered and were actually quite tasty.
I ordered the smash burger, it’s a mix of brisket, short rib, and chuck. This was really quite tasty, seasoned well, had a nice crispy edge and was actually a smash burger. It came with a side of fries (didn’t know when we ordered the truffle fries) so Clare wanted to try the sweet potato waffle fries she said they were fine but maybe a bit plain and could use some cinnamon sugar. I would give the burger a B+ to A- rating, it was really good, hit the spot, but wasn’t knock your socks off.
Clare ordered the short rib pinsa. Essentially a flat bread it’s Italian hand pressed dough with toppings, this one had braised short rib, red wine caramelized onions, smoked Gouda cream sauce and a cheese blend. The short rib was seasoned really well and peppery, it literally tasted like a French onion flat bread. The onions were so good, the cook on the short rib left it tender, the pinsa base held up to the weight and it was absolutely great! Would definitely recommend trying it.
For dessert they had a chilled chocolate fudge cheesecake. I don’t think this was made in house, it was ok, thought unlikely to order it again.
Overall the service was great, the food selection was really good albeit it a small menu, and the overall atmosphere was so nice and serene. I definitely would recommend it and would like to try so other special items as they come on or different seasonal menu items!
