We ordered from Sesame for an office meeting and were really impressed. The food arrived on time, beautifully packaged and very presentable. I paid $11 for a tuna sandwich and was genuinely excited to eat it — only to find they put the tiniest sliver of tuna inside. This is the second time in a row this has happened. I’m not sure what changed, but they’ve clearly gotten very cheap with the spreads. It definitely wasn’t always like this. I basically ended up eating a vegetable sandwich.

Sesame is one of those places you walk into “just to grab something quick”… and suddenly you’re holding a full tray like you’re running a Shabbos kiddush.
I came in for one thing. ONE. Thing.
Next thing I know, I’m standing there with a lineup of pastries, a drink, and something I don’t even remember choosing — I think it jumped into the box on its own. Happens to the best of us.
The store is always bright, clean, and running with that smooth, efficient energy that makes you feel like they’ve done this before. The staff keeps the line moving like a well-trained minyan on a winter Friday — fast, focused, and somehow still friendly.
Their pastries? Fresh. Like, “did they just come out of the oven two seconds ago?” fresh. The bagels are solid, the grab-and-go is super convenient, and everything just looks way too tempting for someone who promised himself he’d “eat lighter this week.”
Prices? Surprisingly normal for a place that easily could’ve charged more just because everything looks that good.
Atmosphere? Chill. Easy. In-and-out without drama.
Bottom line:
Sesame is the kind of spot where you walk out happy, full, and slightly unsure how you ended up buying more than planned — and honestly, no regrets.
Definitely a five-star Lakewood staple.
