The absolute worse customer service I’ve ever experienced in Camarillo.
Their only waitress had the worse attitude- she was so rude when I asked her if the fried noodles on our table were fried with any seafood (in the same oil) she said no then no again… I told her I had a seafood allergy. I asked her to ask the chef please. She came back and literally grabbed the plate of noodles dropping some saying yes its fried in seafood. I wanted for water for almost 15 min. She brought my dish I asked for chop sticks she took my fork and I had to walk to the counter to re ask for chop sticks 5 min later. Absolutely terrible service.

Had food delivered. Very sad. Ordered WonTon Soup and Hot and sour soup. It was ok. Nothing great. Crispy noodles it came with were stale and couldn’t eat. Hard and chewy not crispy. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken. It was mostly celery see attached picture. Flavor was bland tasted like celery. Didn’t get rice I ordered. Every Chinese
Restaurant I have ordered Kung Pao Chicken usually comes with rice but not here. Ordered some and didn’t get it. Egg rolls were below average. Hot mustard was very very watery. Never had watered down hot mustard before. Will never order again from here.

I have dined in on several visits at Sesame Garden in 2024 and
“Walked In” to Dine In on Saturday January 4, 2025. On each visit I was ignored/not acknowledged by the “Only Employee” who was the Server (possibly owner or family member) on each occasion. She would Not acknowledge my presence or come to my table to take my order, while assisting other customers. I did voice my displeasure out loud while sitting patiently to have my order taken while dining there on different occasions. Other issues, If I didn’t order a drink, she became irritated. If I asked for additional
“Sweet & Sour Sauce”, she would become irritated. If I asked for extra napkins, she would become irritated. She catered to those speaking her native language which I presume made her most confortable. I patronized the restaurant because I enjoyed eating their food. Unfortunately the service was mediocre so I will venture out for other “Chinese Restaurants” in Camarillo who can make “Spicy/Hot” Chinese food which is hard to find in Camarillo.

Did not have a great experience here at Sesame Garden. Came in as a group, staff was friendly at first, helped us get our party seated. We attempted to order the beef crispy noodle, she explained to us that the crispy noodle is not what it normally is and recommended the soft noodle, which we ended up ordering. I ordered the pork crispy noodle, and she again explained that the crispy noodle dish is different, and after acknowledging that I did still want to order it the waitress got upset and told us that most people get other dishes like orange chicken and soup, and that it must be our first time at the restaurant.
If you don’t want people ordering items from the menu, you should consider removing them. The quality of the food was okay, however it did not outweigh the experience in the restaurant so I give this 2 stars.

The food is the best, prices are fair, the people very friendly whether we’re eating there or picking up a to-go order.
The atmosphere isn’t really their fault, it’s a standard restaurant box in a strip mall. There’s only so much you can do with that.

Terrible experience! Customer service was trash. Did not feel welcomed with my 3 year old daughter to eat at this establishment. We walked in and the lady at the counter asked if we had a take out order and I told her no we were dining in. From that point her attitude completely changed as if we shouldn’t be eating there and very rudely said sit anywhere. Our waiter came to take our drink order and asked if we wanted water I told her no I would take a coke instead and she got aggravated and did not even ask if my daughter would have anything to drink and just walked away. Not kid friendly! Very rude people. Would not recommend!

I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants in my life and Sesame Garden is definitely one of the best. Not that price is all that important ( as long as food is good) but they definitely have the best prices here in Camarillo..especially the lunch specials and those are big portions. I have dined in many times but have made countless amount of to-go orders..I’m normally on a special diet so there’s never any problem with my special requests.They have by far the best wor wonton soup..most places are mostly broth but they definitely load theirs up with meat veggies and wontons..but my special diet tries to avoid carbs so I always ask for 1 wonton in each container but it’s still loaded with everything else.The lady that works there always takes care of my special orders. I’ve loved every dish that I’ve tried but my favorite is their hot braised shrimp and Kung poa 3 flavor( minus the mushrooms)
