Stopped by because I could use my quarterly Resy credit. Definitely giving Times Square tourist vibes. I had the Truffle Burger with Fries and the Frozen Hot Chocolate. Clean and bright atmosphere. Was seated quickly (solo) and service was good. Truffle Burger was okay, nothing to write home about. Frozen hot chocolate was delicious but what sugar laden concoction isn’t. Pricing was high but that is expected for NYC/Times Square plus the portions were big. I wouldn’t go back and probably wouldn’t recommend. But if you’re in the area and need to use the RESY credit why not.

Review Title: Great Food and Even Better Energy at Serendipity Times Square

My wife, my best friend, and I visited Serendipity in Times Square during our New York trip, and it turned out to be one of those meals you talk about afterward. The atmosphere was lively, colorful, and full of personality. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, laugh, and enjoy good food without worrying about formality.

We started with the Loaded Nachos, and they did not disappoint. The chips stayed crisp under layers of melted cheese, seasoned beef, and fresh pico de gallo. The guacamole was rich and smooth, and the jalapeños added just enough kick to keep things interesting. Every bite had something different going on, and it all worked together.

Next was the **Club Sandwich** with **Parmesan Fries**. The sandwich was stacked high with juicy chicken, smoky bacon, lettuce, and tomato, all held together by perfectly toasted bread. The fries were some of the best I’ve had in a while, hot and crispy with a dusting of Parmesan and herbs. Dip them in the sauce they serve on the side, and you’ll wish you had your own plate of just fries.

The service was friendly and fast even though the place was busy. The staff seemed to enjoy what they were doing, which added to the good vibe.

If you go, expect big portions and bold flavors. This isn’t the spot for quiet dining or fine dining. It’s fun, casual, and made for people who want to eat well and enjoy the moment. Whether you’re coming from a Broadway show, sightseeing, or just hungry in Times Square, Serendipity is worth the stop.

The dessert menu, while extensive, they didn’t have any pictures anywhere to help decide what to get. Even the company website didn’t help. I will say the service was good and very friendly and they did take care of us when we didn’t like an item we ordered. The dessert was overhyped. It tasted like half gallon ice cream you get at Krogers with some whipped cream. Atmosphere 10/10, location 10/10, service 10/10, actual dessert 6/10.

✨First visit to Serendipity 3 in Times Square. Having a mother daughter trip from Florida and we stayed at the Oyo Hotel. Initially we thought it was a small cafe with a bar. Quite excited when we dined in for supper and saw the other half of the restaurant.

Pro
Location (close to Time Square)
Vegan frozen hot chocolate
Polite staff
Vibrant decor

Be prepared.. it is a touristy area and prices are high.

Our server (Spencer) made our dining experience sweet! My daughter had a classic footlong hotdog and I – Thai Peanut salad with grilled chicken. ( note: there is an up charge for everything… chopped pickles, salad dressing).

A photographer came to each table to take photos of the guests. The photographer later returned with the photos printed and placed in a Serendipity photo sleeve as a keepsake. Photos are $20 or 2 for $30.
Overall, it can be a memorable dining experience for singles, families or couples. There are also plenty of souvenirs to select from.

The staff are very upbeat and personable. The waiters provide musical serenades for birthdays and overall it’s a great vibe compared to other places in the area. Plus butterflies are my spirit animal so you get 5 stars with me!!!

This is a cute touristy place that everyone should try at least once if visiting New York but I probably wouldn’t go again. The place is nicely decorated and the staff was friendly but the service was a bit slow including getting the food out. The waffles were really good but not worth the price in my opinion. They have some cool and unique flavors like Fruity Pebbles and s’mores. I got the s’mores waffle and it was pretty good but very very sweet which is to be expected. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was very dry. Overall it’s a one and done spot but still worth trying once.

Very colorful and fun environment. Food was ok. We had nachos and the Sunday dinner Sundae (chicken tenders on top of French fries and cheesy sauce topped with a scoop of mash potatoes. It was OK. A bit overpriced for what it was but you go there for the experience and for the photos. I have checked the box and maybe bring the grandkids for dessert.

This is a unique and whimsical restaurant offering immersive themeing, refreshing to step into a new world from the hustle and bustle or Times Square.
It was very quiet and not crowded at all when we went on a Thursday afternoon. The food was good, nothing amazing, it seems where they shine is their dessert menu.
This would be an excellent restaurant for a family with younger kids – their menu accommodates for less sophisticated palates and everyone would love the fun atmosphere.

Go for the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and eat somewhere else! We stayed at the OYO Times Square Hotel so I was excited to have Serendipity 3 right there. However, when we walked in – we were given the full menu and not told they were only serving breakfast. It was 10:40am. I’m vegan and the only vegan items in the menu were lunch/dinner items. When my husband went to order his burger and I went to order my chick’n tacos, the server said they aren’t serving lunch until 11am, but they still serve the frrrozen hot chocolates.

I asked if we could order the frrozen hot chocolate now and then put in our lunch order at 11 (in 20 minutes). The place only had us and another table so it wasn’t busy at all, but the server said no, they couldn’t do that.

She then said they may make an exception for my meal since I’m vegan, but that my husband had to order from the breakfast menu. I was ready to just get the hot chocolate and skip the food, but my husband knew I was hungry and said he was fine ordering from the breakfast menu.

He wanted a burger from lunch menu, but got the brunch burger… so, it makes NO sense why he wouldn’t be able to get the lunch burger, it was practically the same, but just had more toppings he would have wanted.

The food was overpriced and my vegan chicken tacos tasted like Gardein frozen chicken just heated and thrown into a tortilla. We spent $90 on a burger, tacos, and a drink we shared. Insane.

Like I said, the only thing worth getting on the menu are the frrrozen hot chocolates. They’re $20 and are big enough to share. I also think the uptown location has more accommodating staff!

Lesson learned!

I went after a show, on a Monday. I made reservations for much later but when I arrived early there were able to seat me- it was kind of dead. It’s only been open for about a year, I am guessing not a lot of people know about it yet…?

My server, Alan was amazing! He really made the whole experience worth it. His energy and interest in his customers showed through.

I have been to the original location on Upper East Side a few times, so be warned this is completely different. This is shiny and new but has everything (and more) that the other does not. It misses a little charm of the tiny restaurant of course but you can still get what you want.

The Frozen Hot Chocolate is always a good choice and they have so many flavors to choose from. All the portions (food, ice cream and drinks) are large, so prepare to share so you can try a little of everything.

It was a very cool, picturesque place and the staff was very nice. The food was good but nothing that great. The frozen hot chocolate was good as well. It was one expensive place, though.
