Came here and tried fufu and egusi for the first time, both of which had great taste and unique flavors, and I might have found a gluten free staple that I like. The pili pili sauce also complemeneted everything nicely. The price was reasonable and the fufu portion is huge, so you won’t be leaving with an empty stomach.
The owner was super nice, but seems like she’s the only person working the front of house while helping out in the back, so don’t expect a quick service.

Was visiting CU for work so didn’t know where to go. This was one of the more interesting options around and it didn’t disappoint.

I had goat, jollof rice, soup, and fufu. Everything tasted great. The workers were very nice and hospitable.

I’m looking forward to going again when I’m back in town.

Whoever prepared the food really understands culinary. The food was so good. I had grilled fish and even chewed the tail. I had spinach stew and egusi as well. The apinach stew waa very different than I’ve had it but it was wspectacular!!!! The chicken in the egusi was tender and so delicious and the egusi was marvelous. I quenched my thirst with ginger drink. It wasn’t too sweet and was perfectly made. The prices were extremely cheap. Too cheap in my opinion for the quality of the food. Everything was fresh and taste like it had been made within the hour. This restaurant is a must visit!!!!

Ate here for dinner and had a wonderful experience. They seem a bit short staffed so be prepared to wait a bit if you dine in, but it didn’t bother us much and the food was with the wait. We had the grilled goat, fufu, and bean soup. Everything was delicious, and the spicy sauce on the side really took it to the next level. We will definitely be back to try the Sunday buffet!

Absolutely delicious food, served by a woman who is such a sweetheart I definitely reccomend!!

Im from the south, and in the Midwest, especially outside of the big cities, there hasn’t been a whole lot of food that compares (taste wise)- Sepelas has genuinely amazing food and is an incredible delight for this area

My best friend and I came here on a recommendation from another friend and it did not disappoint! I had the goat, fufu, and the plantains and they were amaaaazing!!! The goat was phenomenal! The lady working was very happy to be there, happy to have us there, and happy to help indulge us with this food we had never tried. The presentation of service was very intentional and just makes you feel so welcome. The artwork on the walls was very nice too. My best friend doesn’t live in the area, but we will definitely be coming back at some point!

Thank you for such an amazing experience. ❤️

The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. I tried the jollof rice with grilled chicken, and the seasoning was just right: smoky, slightly spicy, and full of depth. I also loved the egusi soup served with fufu. To top it off, the staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

If you’re looking to experience authentic African cuisine that’s both flavorful and satisfying, I highly recommend this place

We called to get our food before and we were 10 mins late and the food was still fresh. The lady was lovely to talk with and thanked us for coming. We ordered on the phone and then ordered more when we arrived and she immediately worked on what we got. The to go boxes for the soup were good quality and nothing spilt. Definitely good if you like to reuse containers. I got Fufu & Egusi, fried plantains and jollof rice. (Hope I spelt it all right) The Egusi soup was delicious, perfect to go with the Fufu. Anyone saying it was too spicy probably has no spice tolerance. It was just the right amount of spicy that it didn’t feel like it overwhelmed the food. The Jollof rice was good, it didn’t have an intense seafood flavor, which I liked. The fried plantains weren’t my favorite, but that’s just from a personal preference, nothing to do with the food. They were perfectly cooked and looked delicious, it was just something I tried for the first time. We spent $44 for 2 people and for more than we could finish. The portions are amazing for how much you pay. The over all look of the place was nice aswell. The decore and all the booths were aestheticly pleasing. I can’t wait to see how it looks in the future. Over all I would 100% recommend this place. I live a little less than an hour away and I would do that drive again.

My first experience at Sepelas restaurant was a few weeks ago, I ordered the grilled goat with rice and it was delicious. The goat was juicy and tender. The rice was very flavorful. That’s my go to meal now whenever I stop in so I will definitely be back.
