The menu is accessed via QR code and has many delicious options. After about seven or so minutes, we were ready to order. An order of tteok-bokki, japchae, and some Seoul wings was the lineup. While we waited, we happened to also realize that they have karaoke too! There was a slight mixup when they delivered the food which resulted in us receiving some extra items. The team was great and didn’t charge us for their mistake.
In a nutshell, we definitely recommend checking out Seoul Pocha. Delicious wings and good service along with a chill vibe environment make for this a very enjoyable Korean spot for your next craving.
My wife ordered the pork katsu cooked and seasoned with a zingy sauce. I helped her eat it. I got the crispy fries topped with stir-fried kimchi and mouth-watering bulgogi beef. I reluctantly shared (the portions are generous, it’s really more family-style).
I dented the HECK out of that bulgogi. Wonderful, savory, with the edge of sweetness that makes Korean food so good.
When the bill came I was amazed at how reasonable everything is. We’ll be back, there’s half a dozen more dishes I aim to try.
The interior is decorated very vibrantly with kpop playing in the background. As for the food, most Korean places I usually go to serve banchan (side dishes) but here, they serve popcorn which was… different lol.
As for the food this is what we ordered:
Corn Cheese- pretty good!
Seafood Pancake- this was just okay, I’d probably skip this one next time
Honey Garlic Chicken- delicious! It was a little too salty but the chicken was hot, crispy, and juicy
Seoul Spicy cream udon- my favorite dish of the night! It had so much seafood and the savory/creamy/spicy sauce was so addicting
Steamed egg- good! But honestly, this is hard to mess up haha
Tteokbokki- the rice cakes were nice and chewy and the sauce had a good balance between sweet and spicy.
What I really loved about this place is that they offer a student discount of 20% off (per dish)! Thanks to that deal and the promotion that they had with the seoul spicy cream udon, we saved almost $40.
Aside from that, our server was great and we all had a good experience here.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was an option to do karaoke as well. It seems popular as a lot of people seemed to come in and out of the karaoke rooms.
We tried a lot of food and drinks, so our bill was a higher as to be expected. The portions are large, so ordering food really depends on how hungry you are and if you are sharing/family style. The food came out piping hot. My favorite was the eggs and cheese roll and the glazed pork spare ribs for 2.
Today, we came in to celebrate my birthday and were told we had about an hour wait. This was fine since we all understood it’s a Saturday and it’s busy. But we then had to wait over an hour, even though we gave extra time for them to clean the room.
When we get to our room, we ordered food and began trying to play our favorite songs. We then realized the mics were not working (cutting in and out too frequently).
We called to ask for help and the server said she would get the manager. The manager came in and told us to put the mics closer to our mouths (which then they put it on their own mouth to speak) and said we should sit farther apart when using the two mics. They said they could not help us further and left the room. We tried doing so and it continued not to work.
While this was all happening we were waiting for the three servings of rice for our bulgogi that had already came. We waited around 15 minutes after the bulgogi came to get our rice.
After we got our rice we decided to get to-go boxes and leave because the experience was failing. When we told the (white) manager, they did this bow and left to get our check.
The manager was not communicative at all and it overall made the experience difficult.
The young woman who helped us get our room initially was very sweet and we appreciated her help. We just wish that after waiting over an hour we could have actually gotten to use the karaoke room.
The food is still good, but the experience with the karaoke just kind of ruined it for us. The manager did remove the karaoke charge from our check. Although we really wished the manager spoke more.
We most likely won’t be returning.
