sorry for staying so long, we were 2 hrs away from home & so hungry after working an event in downtown & we were having such a great time, we lost track of time, but i don’t even have enough words to say how much i appreciate you guys taking care of us )
With that being said it was overly priced.
This was our first time going we’ve done the hot pot and melting pot before, but this was our first time at Seoul Grill.
We really enjoyed not only the experience, but the Food, the atmosphere. The dipping sauces added a level to the experience.
There isn’t a bar per se, however, they have tons of Korean drinks to choose from if you want anything from the alcoholic side of the menu. Check their cocktail menu out online.
I would recommend it for big parties and small parties. We were just a party of two and we do not feel like we were less because we weren’t a big party.
The area is spacious so you don’t feel like you’re being crowded in.
I do have one warning. Tip is Auto-gratituded at 18%. So please be aware and don’t tip on top of it like I did.
We had so much fun. I forgot to take pictures.
Most of the spicy items have a sweet undertone, nothing is completely spicy. La Galbi was the best thing meat wise throughout the consensus of 7 dining. If you go silver it’ll only be 1 per head though! There are appetizers that are complimentary on the table when you arrive that are also refillable. I had the Korean corn dog and it was mostly cheese with a little piece of meat at the bottom, which was good. It tasted like a hotdog but it was really fish. Everything coming from the back is hot and fresh. The kimchi fried rice is good but there’s a lot of flavor and most of the meat has flavor bc it’s pre marinated. Did I mention to ask for salt and pepper? Ask for it. They start you off with brisket and it’s pretty plain, some of the other meats as well. The short rib patty was good, like a premium Salisbury steak but super juicy and full of flavor. A lot of the food has this aftertaste, so you can tell they have some kind of herb or sauce or something that’s a staple in Korea like Salt and Pepper for us lol. I didn’t particularly care for it. But that’s my taste, some may love it!
One of us ordered a Sujo and didn’t realize it was $22 which was understandable because it’s imported and the tarrifs these days are a headache but it did catch us off guard because it was not that large of a bottle, it was the size of maybe a wine cooler (and tasted like a high class wine cooler lol).
Overall the experience was good. My only issue was the rules weren’t told upfront, but as we went and asked for things ourselves but I know with serving there are so many people and things going on some things can be missed so Im not upset with anyone about it. Id recommend other to go, even if it’s just to experience it once.
The place was clean, the staff all had great smiles and polite greetings. The food was excellent, and I was surprised at the bill, as I expected Valentine’s Date night to have been much more expensive when I entered.
Our waitress Allisa was amazing. Extremely friendly, super helpful recommendations and made the experience so much better for my wife and I.
Will definitely be returning for future date nights. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good spot for dinner.
Especially the vegetable fried mandu.
During one lunch visit, a friend and I ordered the AYCE option. After the server took our order, the food arrived very slowly and only in partial portions. We would request four meats at a time but receive just one or two, which meant we had to grill in shifts and wait for the rest. With the AYCE time limit, this became frustrating. Because an 18% gratuity was already included, it also felt like there was little incentive for attentive service.
On another occasion, our group ordered the largest combo instead of AYCE. Our server, I believe his name was Minh, was neither friendly nor attentive. When we asked for more sauce, he would barely squeeze the bottle once and walk away, so we had to keep requesting refills. It felt like we had to beg for every little thing when it should have been a given. The overall attitude made the meal uncomfortable. I also noticed that the side dishes have changed recently—perhaps new management?—and they didn’t taste as good as before.
We’re willing to give this place a few more chances, but our recent visits have been disappointing. I hope these comments can be taken as helpful feedback so the restaurant can return to the level of service and quality we used to enjoy.
