I own a small business myself so I usually refrain from writing bad reviews but the chicken quesadilla I had here was probably the worst one I’ve had in years. All cheese and 3 pieces of chicken and quite expensive compared to other places.

I hate to leave a bad review, but I rely heavily on reviews when choosing a restaurant so I feel the need to share. We stopped in on a Saturday night. Not busy at all, but the place was dirty. Tables not bussed, bar not wiped down. The person working was just on her phone sitting behind the register. The vibe in there was very kitschy, not in a charming way. The margaritas were ok. The salsa looked like brown water and had no flavor. I’m not exaggerating when I say the consistency was like water. I wish I would have taken a pic. The cheese dip was the yellow cheese you get with a pretzel at ball game. As a previous reviewer said, it doesn’t seem like this restaurant is trying to be taken seriously. Especially being down the street from some of the best Mexican restaurants in the Midwest. We ended up leaving and not ordering a meal. I was craving authentic Mexican and we were not going to get that there.

The food was decent. The service was decent. The space is weirdly set up. It’s not somewhere that I would actively recommend to people, but if you’re nearby, it has decent tacos for a reasonable price.

Read special: 3 tacos and 1 margarita for $15. lil sus… seems like too good a deal. I walk in and am greeted with a bulky ugly pleather couch.. now before I start notice you pay before hand, had I known service was so sweet I would have tipped afterward. First off servers were so sweet, attentive and all smiles. My rate has nothing to do with the service. However….. The food and marg.. Girl, let me tell you. Kinda soggy corn tortillas, shredded chicken with no pizzazz and a premixed tasting marg that is aesthetic but tastes like juice. No.. just.. no. Also being made aware that the owner was in and this was her 3!!! Restaurant… that she has attempted to open. While she was sitting at the bar drinking with a friend I feel the need to share that all these positive reviews are from family and or friends and she should probably explore a different path in life rather than own a restaurants. Also. The windows are incredibly tinted but don’t let that fool you when you walk in you’re also greeted with bright florescent lights and an incredibly awkward gazebo. I’m all for supporting local!!! 1,000%. This just doesn’t feel like a business that’s being taken seriously. If you don’t believe me go try it and form your own opinion by all means… This is just my perception of how my quick bite went at this new restaurant.

I went with a really big group and we rented out the whole restaurant. They decorated the whole place for us and were very welcoming! We had a set menu which was a little bit pricey but considering the price included tax, tip, and the price for renting the restaurant it was ok!
