I can’t say enough good things about Senor Tequila on Camp Robinson! This place has become a true family favorite for us. I’ve been coming here for years, and every single time the staff treats me like family. I have three kids who are full of energy and, honestly, make a bit of a mess — but the team here is always so kind, patient, and generous.

The food is always fresh, delicious, and comes out fast. The service is top-notch, and it’s clear they genuinely care about their customers. It’s not just a restaurant to us — it’s a place where we feel welcome every time we walk through the door.

Thank you, Senor Tequila, for taking such good care of me and my family. You’ve earned every one of these 5 stars!

Always a great place to eat! Although, this and the Maumelle Blvd location are the only ones I would give 5☆to. The other ones are mid at best. The cheese dip is the best in the business. I am upset that they quit doing happy hour. That is my only complaint. The food is AMAZING. Just don’t drink or you will spend a Benji in a minute.

Senor Tequila’s did it right tonight with this steak fajita late evening. Man was I hungry and they did a great job. The team and staff are very disciplined and friendly and the music they play on the speakers is really interesting and cool

Señor Tequila on Camp Robinson Road is our favorite Mexican food restaurant in the Twin Cities area. We have been eating here for years now. We have also eaten at the one on University (?), and it was just as delicious!
My husband was raised close to the original North Little Rock Mexico Chiquito. But as it closed, and they went under, we sought out another restaurant that would give us our spicy food “fix”! It wasn’t long before we found and settled on the flavorful offerings of Señor Tequila!
When you first arrive, they bring uou warm corn chips and cool, but spicy with peppers hot sauce for dipping. I found the hot sauce SO HOT that I ordered a bowl of queso blanco– melted white cheese– for my chips!!
I have had the Chicken Fajitas- which were served with warm soft tortillas. They were seasoned perfectly and were delicious at lunch as the special of the day.
However, my husband and I are creatures of habit when it comes to what we enjoy, and what we enjoy is the Enchilada Special: 2 beef enchiladas smothered in your choice of red sauce, creamy cheese sauce– I had the cheese sauce and hubby had the traditional red sauce! The platter comes with refried beans and Spanish rice. I don’t eat beans, so I exchange my beans for a double portion of rice. We also ordered a bowl of Pico de Gallo to flavor up our food. LOVE that Cilantro!!
In very short time, one of the polite waiters came out with our HOT platters of food!! We neither one have large appetites anymore, so we ate half and brought the other half home to eat the next day!
By the time we put ours in the to-go plates, there were quite a few people coming in for supper time.
The food is always hot, delicious and not overly seasoned. Usually the hot sauce and chips appetizer is just hot enough to make your nose run, and Coke disappear, but it was “¡muy caliente!” this last visit!! I had to leave it alone!
All the staff are very polite, clean, eager to take your order. I have never jad a rude waiter here.
There is a bar in the back, but you can order a mixed drink to your table to drink. I love the music and the paintings on the walls, and the whole atmosphere here!!
PS: for those of you who know me/us, you know that I am not a drinker of alcohol at all! I decided to include the price list for those of you who are.

In over twenty years of going out to restaurants… Today I had the best experience with the staff. The servers went out of their way to make sure to serve our needs. They had constant SMILES on their faces. Good food & good company…

Chimichunga dinner was ok. I’m aware that most Mexican restaurants precook the beef, chicken, rice and beans which I am ok with. However it’s only ok if they are changing the pans out in good timing. I received dry meat in my chimi and it was hardly fried. My server was experiencing a lot of complaints from other tables so I couldn’t bring my self to send it back. I took it to go and my pot smoking sister killed it lol. I’d give it another try but I’d go earlier when the food is fresh. The servers were easy going too. They tried very hard to compensate for the kitchen. Overall not so bad. Oh great margaritas btw.

**CARD HOLDERS BEWARE**

Typically, I enjoyed my time at Senior Tequila. The food has always been good and the speed at which it is delivered is great despite being a sit-down restaurant. Recently, however, I had an experience that I hoped would never happen to me.

My method of payment (like the majority of customers) was card and of course, I was given the option to tip. Now, I typically don’t tip BUT, I was feeling positive today and decided to round up my bill with the tip. Well, it appears that my original tip was not high enough for my waitress, and she decided to demonstrate a lack of integrity and change my tip amount to a higher price.

How did I find out about this, you may ask? Well, apart from being aware of my card activity, I had a lovely digital receipt sent to me via email from “Square” later that night, and I was in shock to see that the tip amount shown was different than what I remembered writing. Of course, I was determined to get to the reason behind this so the next day, I went to speak to the manager.

The way the manager handled it was sincere and professional, and he was able to pull up my original paper receipt to verify with me that the amount I originally wrote was different than what was entered on their system. He gave me his apologies and provided me a full refund of the tip.

This encounter with management was surprising but very welcomed. My hope is that he will truly talk to the waitress in question and inform other workers to stray away from such actions. (We did get the name of the waitress but out of respect, it is anonymous)

My REASON for writing this lengthy review is to spread awareness and URGE my fellow card holders that if you pay with card and provide a tip using it, it is in YOUR BEST interest to keep a closer eye on your receipts and be checking your bank statements to make sure you are paying what you INTENDED to pay.

While this unfortunate situation happened to me, I was lucky to have caught it BUT, the hard truth remains. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this restaurant and this won’t be the last. There is no telling how many other card holders were unknowingly paying extra without consent.
