And they had a really good really hot, red sauce for their we burrito.
Their primary clientele seemed to be Mexican so it looks like they like it too .
We will be going back .
It’s an “everyday”, no-frill restaurant, nothing fancy, and prices reflect that. But it seems to be fairly popular in the area, and that’s always a good sign. It’s clean, the service is very good, prompt, and corteous. The menu is quite extensive, going way beyond the usual tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. You’ll find things like menudo and posole, which is always a good sign of a more “authentic” Mexican restaurant. Oddly enough, they also serve burgers. If you dine in, you’ll get a complimentary basket of tortilla chips with bean paste. There’s a self-service salsa bar. The assortment is decent, but the variety is limited. Most importantly, if you don’t like spicy, your only choice is the salsa verde.
The food is good. Not spectacular, but definitely above average for this type of restaurant. I had the chicken burrito, my wife had the fish plate (tilapia, of course…) The burrito had a slightly toasted tortilla, which is something I appreciate. The meat was good and tasty. We also tried a side of guacamole. Home-made, no doubt, and pretty good, although we’ve definitely had better.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re in the area and craving for fast Mexican food.
Prices are relatively affordable, considering inflation. The special plates and breakfast entrées are nice options. There’s a salsa and condiment bar, fountain and bottled drinks, desserts, and much more.
The dining area is spacious, with plenty of tables and seats. This place gets busy during peak eating times and on weekends, as there is a swap meet across the street Sat & Sun 6am-4pm at Cypress College.
You can order food at the cashier, call ahead, or order online through Yelp. When the Mexican food craving hits, and I’m in the area, Señor Taco satisfies.
Good variety of chile, green , red limes and spicky carrots. Good place
Update – Today we parked in front of this restaurant to wait for my kids learning at Kumon next to as usual for nearly 2 years. The only one parking policy is “Customer Parking Only”. Then a big guy from this restaurant brought 3 yellow boards which one is put in front of my parked car. After about 10 minutes he came and told me that “you have 5 minutes to park here after that I call the police”. Later I saw a lady from this restaurant was calling somebody. Perhaps they would bark around the trees for some scary cats. Actually I am now really scare to come to this restaurant. I get back 3 stars and left only one for this restaurant because of their rudeness and lacking of knowledge.
