I went to Señor Onion Mexican Café when the new owners of Fletcher’s Burgers took over the restaurant, and no matter what anyone said before, I had all the usual—from the poppers, the jalapeño cheese balls, the nachos—and I even had a burger just because!
I am extremely happy with their food, and the taste is incredible. (When someone just takes over a restaurant, give them some time to settle in, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised with what they have done in such a short time!)
I am a huge Mexican food enthusiast, and they live up to my high standard—and that says a lot!
Every time I visit Somerset West for business or I am just in the area, I have to stop at Fletcher’s Burger for a burger and Señor Onion for their Mexican. (It is like a surf and turf, but burger and poppers—what more do you want?)
I enjoy both of them so much that my fiancée and I have decided to have our 30th birthday there next year, and we are inviting all our friends to be there.
To me, it is the best burgers and Mexican in town—hands down!!

But let me tell you, it was absolutely DELICIOUS! From the starters of crispy fried jalapeños and cheesy balls with jalapeños to the mouthwatering beef tacos and chicken and beef quesadillas, every bite is an adventure! Just be ready for some happy sweating!
Tip: Grab jugs of water in advance—it makes the spicy journey so much more enjoyable! Enjoy!

Very pleased to have found this little gem neatly packed away in Somerset West. The food is authentic and the quesadilla and fajitas were delicious! Don’t be afraid to ask for extra spice, as the mild was very mild and the hot was mild (which is subjective taste of course). Service was friendly, food came out quick and ambiance was incredible. Will go back again soon.

Everything is delicious! You can order anything and it will be fresh and flavourful. If you are a few people, consider calling ahead and asking that they do a mixed platter so that you can all taste a few of their offerings. The staff are friendly and the decor is fun. I highly recommend the Tres Leches Cake for dessert

Absolutely disgusting food. The label food is being used loosely. The mince on the nachos was so old it tasted like it started to petrify. There were pieces so hard it was as if I was chewing wood. It left a bad taste in my mouth figuratively and literally. I will NEVER waste my money again.
