I tried Erie eats Today just because I drive past this place all the time and never knew it was there. I love Caribbean food, and I am very strict on Caribbean taste. Everything I ordered was amazing. I do not have pictures because I was too excited to dig in. The rice and peas, the cabbage, the jerk, chicken fire! The rice and peas was a little dry, but overall the taste was a 10 out of 10.

Yummm!!! Always good and fresh. Nice people and cozy, warm environment. Customer service is nice and the staff are welcoming. Tried the rum cake, and it was different than any I’ve ever had before. That was a good thing. The jerk sauce will make ya jump from the heat, and I really enjoy that.

Will definitely be back! The rum punch tastes just like the punch we had in Jamaica! The oxtails were flavored well and tender. The jerk chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. Fried chicken was fresh, crisp, and seasoned well.

Irie Eats is a small family owned Jamaica inspired restaurant located in Uptown St. Louis, Missouri. This was the first time my wife and I had eaten at this establishment, and from the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. They had Reggae music playing just loud enough to set chill vibes’ atmosphere.

The restaurant isn’t that big, so a party of 10 or more would make the place seem crowded. My wife tried their Ox Tails, and I tried the Curry Goat, which all entries there comes with a side of rice and beans and cabbage. I must say, in my opinion, the cabbage was a miss for me and my wife. It seemed to be lacking seasoning to make it flavorful. The rice and beans would have also had some seasoning issues as well, but their saving grace was that I added them to my curry goat broth, and it brought them to life.

The highlight of my meal was the curry goat, as was the ox tails for my wife. They both were well seasoned and savory. I made my own stereotype assumptions thinking that all Jamaican food was prepared spicy and had my mouth ready for a Caribbean spice punch that never happened. When asked, I was told that you have to let them know that you want it spicy, and they’ll make the adjustment for you.

Overall, the meal was just ok, being that the sides fell short of complimenting the main meal. I do feel that the price was a little on the high side at about $20 for my goat plate and around $24 for my wife’s ox tail plate ‍♂️. If we do go back, I would definitely like to retry the meal with a little spice added to see how it would bring the plate to life.

Decided to try Jamaican food for the first time. I got the jerk chicken and some plantain. The jerk chicken was so so good. The flavor is phenomenal. The food was also freshly made, which means you have to be patient, but it is absolutely worth it. Plan to be back here to try out other things on the menu.

Flavorful, southern, soulful dishes! I’m on a mission to try everything on their menu. If your looking for authentic, homey scenery check Irie out. You will not be disappointed. Did I mention their Rum Punch? I definitely had an accent leaving out the door with a delightful full belly.

THIS RESTAURANT IS AMAZING! We booked this place for our daughter’s graduation party, and we are so glad that we did. Carlton and his entire staff gave 5-Star, A+ service from beginning to end. We ordered both the Jerk and Curry Chicken with Beans and Rice, Cabbage, Festival (fried bread), and their Beef, Chicken, and Veggie patties. All set up beautifully in buffet style. EVERYTHING was delicious and our guests were so pleased. We also tried the Irie Rum Punch and Loved it! Stop in for a Ting, you won’t be disappointed. This is our new favorite spot!
