They closed and moved out without shutting down MenuStar. I ordered and paid online…only to drive into town to find an empty padlocked building. I’m out the money, and not very happy about it. If I could give a zero, I would! Called to place and order for pick up. My husband went to pick it up and was told that the number we dialed was wrong and there was no order placed there for us. I called the number I originally called to place the order to get address and they told me that the location where my husband was at is the there location. They told my husband that the number we dialed was wrong but it’s the number listed on google. As mentioned I called to confirm address. It was my first time trying out this place and the experience was completely ridiculous and unprofessional!

Friendly place that smelled delicious as soon as I walked in! Ordered chicken fajitas that were excellent and asada sopes that were so good! Yum! For great authentic food, you gotta come here!

I have quickly become a big fan of this restaurant. We recently did a family vacation to Asheboro to visit the zoo and otherwise relax. One day, I randomly looked up tacos nearby to where we were, and Senor Mason showed up in the search. We had a little difficulty finding it at first, but when we finally did, we ordered a couple of tacos each (hard shell for me and flour for my husband). Boy, they did not disappoint. Let me pause here to state that I’m not a fan of tacos. I’ll eat them, but I rarely choose them. So, I wasn’t expecting much when we ordered from here. Senor Mason has made me a taco lover. In fact, we were only in Asheboro for 3 days and visited this establishment twice. Just yesterday we were traveling back to Raleigh after visiting my family in the western part of the state. A lightbulb went off in my head reminding me that we would pass Asheboro on our way home. I was so excited to stop and get tacos again, as was my husband. They were just as good as we remembered, although only a week had passed since our family vacation. I don’t care. I am looking forward to figuring out other ways to keep these tacos in the rotation. In fact, I challenge other Mexican restaurants to make tacos as good as these. Seriously, I need more delicious tacos in my life.

First and last experience….. an hour and a half for a to-go order for subpar tacos…. didn’t have any chicken…so we were told…steak was kind of overcooked…. birria consume wasn’t ready….. I mean there was absolutely no reason to have waited that long for mediocre food. If taco Tuesday is one of your busiest days, preparation is key. I so wanted to like this place, but the wait alone was such a turn off that I’m afraid to give it another try.

I had a horrible experience here. I wish I could tell you what the food tasted like but I didn’t even get to taste it. I ordered before I came an still ended up waiting around 45 minutes for 2 tacos and a quessabirria… at the 25 minute mark I grew annoyed seeing people who placed orders after me leave with their food. I expressed my frustration with the young boy at the counter but I continued to wait. At the 45 minute mark I was over it. As I got up to speak to him I realized that my order had been waiting on the counter for about ten minutes getting cold, he didn’t care all he did was shrug his shoulders. It felt like he did this on purpose. They don’t know how to treat customers and they also don’t care about your time… terrible
