The chilaquiles with red sauce were the best ever.
Also tried the quesadillas and spicy shrimp.
Can’t wait to return and yes, it’s in a not that pretty location, but beautiful and very clean on the inside, including the restrooms.

I have quickly become a big fan of this restaurant. We recently did a family vacation to Asheboro to visit the zoo and otherwise relax. One day, I randomly looked up tacos nearby to where we were, and Senor Mason showed up in the search. We had a little difficulty finding it at first, but when we finally did, we ordered a couple of tacos each (hard shell for me and flour for my husband). Boy, they did not disappoint. Let me pause here to state that I’m not a fan of tacos. I’ll eat them, but I rarely choose them. So, I wasn’t expecting much when we ordered from here. Senor Mason has made me a taco lover. In fact, we were only in Asheboro for 3 days and visited this establishment twice. Just yesterday we were traveling back to Raleigh after visiting my family in the western part of the state. A lightbulb went off in my head reminding me that we would pass Asheboro on our way home. I was so excited to stop and get tacos again, as was my husband. They were just as good as we remembered, although only a week had passed since our family vacation. I don’t care. I am looking forward to figuring out other ways to keep these tacos in the rotation. In fact, I challenge other Mexican restaurants to make tacos as good as these. Seriously, I need more delicious tacos in my life.

My boyfriend and I ate here yesterday for the first time. I’ve been wanting authentic Mexican food since I moved from California. This place did not disappoint. We both got the Quesobirria’s and the Asada fries. I’ve never had food that tasted this good. We will definitely be back. The staff was also super nice!
