If you plan to have a business, you should have a sign so people know where to find your janky operation. This business is located inside the chubby cheesesteak in case anyone runs into the same issue. I called the business two times to ask where the business is located and didn’t hear anything so I hung up. The lady worker who apparently answered the phone was angry that I hung up due to poor connection. When I told her they should have a business sign, she had the gall to tell me I work for DoorDash as if I should not have an opinion. I’m a graduate student doing door dash for extra money. You make tacos for a living. Calm down also, they charged the customer $24 for four tacos. That should be illegal.

I ordered this meal through Uber Eats so I did not get to experience the atmosphere. The food was packaged well and the presentation was great. I ordered the chicken burrito and a steak tostada. I wouldn’t consider this to be authentic. The burritos were bland and plain. It tasted like something I could make at home. Shredded chicken with lettuce and tomatoes and a little bit of cheese. The sour cream tasted like a cheaper brand. The burritos weren’t super big. I wouldn’t say it was bad, it just wasn’t great. It was average. It was edible. My son also ate a chicken burrito and said that he wouldn’t eat there again unless it was an emergency. He wouldn’t be opposed to eating there, it just wouldn’t be his first or second choice. It’s nothing that I would crave and want to eat again. I tried it, it wasn’t bad, but I’m not sure. I will be eating here again. Unless I try something different on the menu. Maybe it was just my food choice. I would recommend it because you might have a different experience, especially if you order something different. It’s always good to try something at least once. And I believe in giving business the benefit of the doubt so I may try it again with something different to see if I have a different perspective on the food.

I ordered Señor Gordito’s for a customer lunch with a scheduled delivery time of 11:45 AM through a third party app. However, I received a call at 11:11 AM saying the food had already arrived at the customer site, well ahead of schedule. I had planned to be there by 11:30 AM in case of early delivery, but thankfully my colleague was able to accept it. Unfortunately, despite assurances from the restaurant that the food would still be hot, it arrived barely lukewarm.

Was trying new spots and figured I’d give them a try especially because of the buy one get one free deal. Ordered through DoorDash. We got two Birria Quesadilla and an order of the Regular Corn. First things first: these prices are crazy. $19 for three THIN pieces of a quesadilla with maybe 4oz of consome, no sides is insane. For birria I’ve tried, it’s not the best. But what really did it was the corn. We opened the lid and were hit in the face with the nastiest cheese smell. I thought hey, sometimes cheese can be stinky, but the taste? I spit out my corn y’all. My corn. I called them concerned if something was expired, only to get shut down on the phone and told that it was Parmesan and that’s how it smells. Guys I’m a Wisconsinite through and through, if your Parmesan ever smells like what ours smelled like throw that away. Also, the food description says cotija cheese..which also would not smell or taste like that either. I’ve had street corn for years, I make it at home with fresh ingredients, and that was not fresh like they told me it was on the phone. I’m 23, a certified people pleaser, and someone with 6 years of food service under their belt. I can promise y’all I was being beyond kind. The lady I spoke with was rude and hung up on me. So we will not be ordering again, and y’all should save your money and order elsewhere.

I had an intense desire for a quesadilla! With that one word, I searched the Google Maps and found Señor Gordito’s a few blocks from home. How could I have missed this place for so long; settled within Chubby’s Cheesesteaks?
I ordered at the counter to avoid the excessive charges of the online food delivery aps. I chatted with the manager while the order was prepared.
The Birria Quesadilla exceeded ALL of expectations!
Remember that scene from Ratatouille where Anton Ego takes a bite of his meal and he experiences a happy memory followed by a pure joy? THAT JUST HAPPENED TO ME! Well…it happened an hour ago. I’m still feeling happy as I type this.
The Birria was perfectly tender and juicy, the cheese evenly distributed and melted, the tortilla was golden and satisfyingly crunchy!
My appetite was much larger than normal yet this quesadilla subdued it.
I plan to be a regular patron of Señor Gordito’s in the future.
One of the highest compliments that I can offer to this establishment is “I will share this with my mother in the future.”
